Great flavor and value
I use this when I make my own dehydrated meals for camping and traveling. I make a ramen noodle meal that is so much better when I add a bit of lemongrass. The bottle lasts a long time and the spice retains its flavor well. It was impossible to find in the grocery store, so I was delighted to find this brand on Amazon

Enjoyed the quality
All the stores in my area don't carry many spices and finding fresh even at the Asian markets is a waste of time. So I started buying spices on line. The first few times I bought from Spice Hunter I got old stock..In the back of my mind I understand that. FIFO is the way of the marketing world and I get it. But when you pay anywhere from 4.00 on up to 30ish for quality herbs and spices I don't want something that will reach its end of life in the next 6 weeks. Let's face it. These things have expiration dates years after packaging. So when you get it with a date that is going to expire in a blink it's disheartening. Send it to a clearance store. Don't push it on customers.NOW having said that. THIS time I got a really good batch of product. This was so fresh smelling almost like I had pulled them myself. Wonderful Wonderful product. I hope I will be getting a good quality freshly packaged product from now on and not the last of the last of the last. I thank you for this shipment.Maybe they didn't have any old stock left.Maybe they finally got the messages I had been leavingMaybe they hired quality help who understands customer careI don't know. But I am glad I got great products all around in this shipment.

It is lemony
It smells and tastes like lemon, but I wanted a stronger lemony flavor. I ended up adding lemon juice to my recipe, too, but had to be careful that it didn’t end up with too much liquid. I haven’t cooked with lemongrass before, so I didn’t know what to expect. I have had foods and drinks made with lemon grass before, which were delicious and the reason I wanted to use it. They were made with fresh lemon grass, which probably accounts for the difference in intensity. The recipe did not say to grind the lemon grass, but that might help, so next time I will pull out my mortar and pestle to prepare it. I did like it, nevertheless.

Great Quality, Pricey
Great quality, the price has sure gone up (I paid around $1.00 a few years back).

Not made from the stalk
This is not going to add a fragrant lemongrass smell or flavor to your food. It's basically tea in a seasoning bottle made from the grass of the lemongrass plant, which lacks in flavor.... taste like green tea

Five Stars
Good Stuff! Great in homemade chicken noodle soup! I also use it in my seasoned black beans on rice.

Super Spice
More and more of the recipes I've been cooking call for either this spice or the fresh lemon grass. Since that's hard to come by I ordered it through Amazon. Shipping was great, 2 day. It came packaged nicely and was just as expected. I've used it and it is fresh and delicious. It was priced very reasonably and I will order it again.

Good stuff! I like it
Good stuff! I like it. I had a tough time finding this in any local stores to use in one of my recipes. The lemon grass smells wonderfully fresh!
