Very nice stapula
Great stapula for the price especially it's only $6. It's flexible yet very sturdy. The metal is brushed stainless steel. The Handle is a nicely molded hard black plastic that looks like wood and it's 5" long. Don't know how heat resistant the handle is and I don't plan on leaving the handle on a hot pan. The stapula metal length is 6 1/2" and tapers down to 6". It's front egde is about 2 1/2" wide and widest part is 3" then tapers down to about 1 3/4" at the end of the slots. The first 3/4" of the front edge is curved upwards and if you need more of a curve you can bend it anywhere along the stapula. The front edge is slightly beveled but I wanted a thinner edge so I sharpened the top of the front edge using my electric knife sharpener. Now it's very thin and slides under very thin and delicate layer of batter. It very balanced and light. I love this spatula. Updated 3/3/2016... The Sapulpa still looking good, no rust or separation anywhere. Handle looks like new. Uupdated 6/154/2020.... The spatula just like new. No rust or separation or discolor. I did accidentally left the hand on pan edge several times and it did slightly melt the handle. I just sanded it smooth and its still works and feel fine.

Perfect for many things besides flipping fish
Everyone should own a couple of slotted spatulas. These things are GREAT! They not only work perfectly for fish, but for baking cookies, serving up lasagna, pancakes...you name it. The spatula part is thin, but sturdy. I see they aren't available right now and I hope they come back to Amazon. I've given these as gifts to 5 of my girlfriends who LOVE them.

Great product, but I wish the dimensions were stated more clearly
I believe in Ateco products, and all of my spatulas are from them. I purchased this one despite having a 6.5 inch offset spatula because I need one that could glide across an 8 inch cake ring with the spatula touching both ends of the ring for an easy, smooth finish (I can still get it smooth, but it just takes more than one pass to do so). I thought that the 9.75 inch blade meant that this spatula would do the job, but I discovered that the total blade length is 9.75 inch, not the part of the blade that is straight. After the blade curves, the blade measures a little more than 7.5 inches long and falls just short of what I am looking for. However, the spatula quality is still great. The blade is flexible while being able to return to its original shape after bending, and I like the feel of the handle more than the wooden Ateco spatula that I have. I will be keeping the product as I bake professionally, and I'm building my own kit to carry around as oppose to relying on my places of employment to do so (it's surprising how ill equipped some restaurants are to handle desserts), thus I'm sure I'll eventually find the right use for this tool. However, I will be purchasing the 9.75 inch straight spatula to fulfill my needs, and it would have been nice to have known this before I bought this product. I do not believe that Ateco makes a longer offset spatula, or I'd get that instead.

Love this slotted spatula
Love this slotted spatula! It has some weight to it so it feels sturdy in the hand, and the slotted area is nice and large. Very well made. Bought it for my husband because he has been wanting one ever since we saw the Pioneer Woman using one that looks just like it on her cooking show. She uses this type of spatula a lot and this looks just like the one we've seen her use. It has been a handy spatula and glad we made it a part of our collection of kitchen tools.

I donโt understand the negative reviews. This is a very nice high quality utensil with the perfect amount of flex. It has a good width and just the right amount of curve at the end. I am very happy with it.

This has a good steel quality and I like the blade thickness--not too thick. I would have appreciate a wider spatula as 3 to 3.25 inch.

The spatula made of quality stainless steel and works well on baked products.
