Does it taste or aniseed/liquorice or of peanuts? I am looking for liquorice flavoured sauce.

It doesn’t taste of aniseed or liquorice. It’s very spicy to be honest

So whats the best recipe?

For two people: Stir fry your meat, then add onion and vegetables plus quarter teaspoon salt and half teaspoon msg and fry until nearly cooked. Add 300ml water, 2 teaspoons jimmys paste, 2 teaspoons white sugar, 1 vegetable stock cube, 1 soy sauce and boil briefly until vegetables are tender enough for you then thicken with 1.5 teaspoons potato starch mixed with a little water. This is a classic chinese restaurant style satay main dish and the sugar really makes the flavour work well, but it’s a question of preference so feel free to add a bit at a time and find the level you enjoy. Some oyster sauce will also add a twist of flavour, but don’t add too much or it will take over from the Jimmys paste.
