Odd Meter Etudes for All Instruments in Treble Clef

This Etudes book far surpassed my expectations for odd meter exercises. Not only is it moderately challenging, the melodies and musical thoughts are really creative and you can have a great time learning and playing the Etudes! Great buy!

It's odd, but supposed to be. I'm working through the book. I've done 5 or 6 of them and find them to be interesting and good at keeping me locked in to a consistent tempo. Less demanding than Charlier and more so than most standard meter studies.

I am always looking for something different to keep my practice interesting. This is a nice change that I have enjoyed having around. Odd Meter refers to less common time signatures (5/8, 7/8, 5/4, etc), and there is a nice variety here. I would suggest this as an addition to the library for anyone looking for something a little different than Arban, Clark, Bosquet, Charlier, etc.

I was required to get this book for my clarinet lessons and have been loving the songs in it. Definitely a higher level book but I'd recommend it.
