Super cute book that’s perfect for my son who is 9 and loves to draw.

My kid loves to draw and this was the perfect book to help her get better. She is always asking how to draw different things and this gave her a step in understanding how to create many different types of shapes to make different objects from Ice-cream to spaceships and pencils. This book has a great variety of simple and exciting things to draw. Its keeps things simple enough that kids can do it without getting frustrated.

Alli is the best! I loved her other book How To Draw Modern Florals, and the easy-to-follow steps, so buying her new book was a no brainer. I immediately bought three copies: 2 for my nieces and nephews and 1 for my adult self! As soon as they were delivered (in perfect condition btw) I got a cute picture from my 10 year old nephew holding a drawing of a paper airplane. The book is made with high quality thick paper, has simple steps, and fun things to draw. My 5 year old nephew loves the castle and dragon. He needed help with some of the steps but not to point of frustration. I love the cat and hedgehog. Buy this for the kiddo in your life and for yourself!

My daughter is an art teacher and she helps her students create such wonderful art. I have a 10 year foster granddaughter living with me who likes to draw, and unfortunately, my daughter is too far to help teach her. I decided to try some books. This one seems well done, and it's a good example of one popular way to help kids. They start with simple shapes, like circles and triangles, and from those, can create all kinds of objects and figures. A circle with two triangles for ears is a good start for the face of a cat, for instance. The results are a little cartoonish, but certainly help kids get started.

Neat book, step by step drawing. Great for all ages.

Clear, uncluttered pages. Simple instructions. Most (all?) drawings also have a little fun fact next to them. I am terrible at drawing but I can follow this, as can my 5-year-old, so it's something we can both have fun with at the same time.

Bought this for my 5 year old who loves to color and draw. This book has been great at teaching her how to draw. She’s at the point now where she can see something and draw it and I believe this book helped her a ton. Also love the durability of the book cause let’s be honest 5 year olds are rough on stuff and this book has stuck around for the long haul.
