Does the trick nicely
Easy to set, but the auto-brightness feature doesn't always adjust to ambient lighting quite right, so the screen gets washed out. I have it in my bathroom, which gets cross-lit. The key seems to be where the little light sensor in the back is facing. If the display does get washed out, you can still push the top button to check the time. You can also turn off the light sensor if you prefer. A tiny bit big for travel, but manageable. Big numbers on the display. Big, mash-style backlight/snooze button on top, so it's easy to reach/manipulate. Produces a nice, dimmed display at night that doesn't kill your eyes or over-illuminate the room. Two memory settings for the alarm. You can then push a switch to go between off / on (everyday) / Mon.- Fri. / Mon. - Sat. You can't set the alarms to ring on select days but you can turn one off and leave the other on. If you map it out carefully, you could, in theory, get the thing to ring on 8 a.m Mon., 9 a.m Tues, 6:45 on Wed. without resetting all the time by using combinations of the on/off/frequency switch and the alarm on/off feature, but if your schedule is that complicated, you'd do better just to set your clock every night or buy a much more expensive clock.Alarm is pretty shrill, but fortunately, not crazy loud. It will wake you up but may spare your partner. It speeds up but does not get louder the longer it rings. Punch the sleep button to shut it up fast. Then remember to flick the switch on the back (you might have to pick it up) to turn it off.Doesn't really matter to me, but mine shows the date and temp readings at the bottom, not on the side as pictured. Also, the temperature reading does not seem particularly precise, and it is for the room you're in, not for outside weather. For me, I mostly needed a cordless clock for my bathroom that could, on occasion, double as a travel alarm. So far, it's doing the trick nicely.

Don't waste your money or your time.
The instructions are terrible and if you want to use it for anything except as a clock, forget it. They should be ashamed to include instructions as these are written. Just one example and keep in mind this is under DATE set - "Push the system to promote the function selection (5) to the TIME setting position". Now you tell me, if you are setting the date, why would you use the time function??? And, "push the system" - what the heck does that mean. I sent an email to the support address provided ([email protected]" and it was returned as a mail system return. Given the quality of the instructions, the email address is probably incorrect.

SO-SO
I think it will work out all right, but the directions are not clear. They must have been written by an illiterate because many of the words are wrong and you have to "fill in the blank" to figure out what you're being instructed to do. (I never WAS able to achieve the temperature settng.)

easy to read
The time display fades in and out periodically. However, There are some positive features; the time stays accurate , it is compact, easy to read, and is easy to move about.

The directions are impossible to understand. Also, the labels for the setting switches are very small. Not good for people who need glasses since it is not obvious which switch turns off the alarm. Otherwise it is a decent clock.

Loved it. Looks great works great and I love the fact that it has a night sensor so you can see the time at night time. Excellent product for home or trave.
