Geraldine Farrar: Opera's Charismatic Innovator 2nd Edition

It has always been odd that there really have been very few biographies of one of the most famous Met sopranos of all time, so it was delightful to have this new bio. Although Miss Farrar retired at 40 from the opera stage her number of performance at the Met hasn't been equalled by another soprano since her retirement. This book is well written and would be a great find for lovers of the " Golden Age " of the Metropolitan Opera. The only item missing is a discography , which would have been a valuable addition to this book.
