Wow, was this ever a tough choice, looking for "the right" trim kit for our shower, to tie in with the schoolhouse style vanity we mounted over the sink.Let's face it, the picture here on Amazon's product page doesn't make this style look all that great. And truth be told, I was hoping I'd find something larger in diameter.The trim ships in a simple cardboard "wrap" and, when I opened Amazon's box, was shocked to find the "wrap" had detached and the glass was exposed to the bottom of the shipping box. But it's thick glass, and sturdily attached to the trim ring, and there was no apparent damage.There's literally no documentation with this, not even a "wet location rated" decal inside the trim (for that, my inspector had to refer to the decal inside the Juno TC2R housing, which lists that housing combined with this trim (and 20 others in a long, hard to read list) as meeting that requirement.The frosted glass projects 3/4-inch below the finished ceiling (the metal trim is maybe 1/16-inch), and when combined with a R-style bulb, does a really, really good job of spreading the light all around the space it's in.This installation went over a bathtub/shower with a low ceiling -- maybe 7 feet -- and cheated towards the front third, close to the shower head. But it does a fine job of not only lighting the entire tub (vs, say, a strict downlight or a PAR-style bulb), but also spills over to give a generous indirect glow to the rest of the room, and that's great when I don't want the full brightness of the vanity.

The old incandescent bulbs would heat these up and cause the plastic brackets to break. Throw in an LED bulb and these will last forever.

Works well, much better than Plastic version it replaced. If your confused on the difference between the White vs the Plastic White the difference is the White version is all metal meaning the trim ring as well as the frame is all metal, this is differently the way to go. The plastic white is made of cheap plastic that breaks easily over time. Both will fit the same enclosure and look the same once mounted but the frame mounting is different. replacement for exact same model number that has been there approx 10 years..new one fits perfectand looks great!

My original one broke, luckily fell on the ground instead of someone's head, as the glass piece is quite heavy. I bought this replacement because it was described as "Material Die-cast aluminum", but turned out to be the same THIN PLASTIC.

I use this trim in the Master Bath walk-in shower. It was easy to install and works perfectly.I would recommend this product.
