Rayn Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner - Model 24

I've had this for a few months now and I just love this thing! It gets all my jewelry sparkling clean and even though I haven't tried it yet, it has the ability to even clean DVD's and glasses. Although it didn't state it, mine included the DVD holder and a watch holder. The great thing about the watch holder is that you can still clean watches that are not water resistant due to the fact the watch face can sit above the water line. I'll probably be trying it on one of my new watches when it needs it. I also like the fact that it has several time settings to choose from, according to how dirty the item is. I would highly recommend the Rayn Ultrasonic Jewelry cleaner!Update Nov. 15, 2013: This is one of the best little investments I've ever made! I've cleaned all my old watches and they look like they have brand new bands. I clean most of my rings on a regular basis and a lot of bracelets and necklaces, too. I would suggest doing a little research on your stones before throwing them in any type of sonic cleaner. I'm no expert on gems, but I understand that all stones have different MOH ratings. If a gem is too soft or chemically enhanced then it's not a good idea to clean it this way.This cleaner always runs perfectly, and I love the fact that it has several settings for the level of dirty I'm trying to clean. I will usually take a soft toothbrush and give my rings a gentle scrubbing with the water and cleaner solution before putting them in my sonic cleaner, in order to loosen up any tough grime from oils and lotions. Every time I use it, I turn it on it's side to dump the water/cleaner solution and then quickly take a paper towel to dry off the edge that I imagine would be the tricky spot for any leaking liquid to get to the internal mechanisms.

If this product quit after only 10 uses ( although I have had it for about 2 years) It is always stored in a clean dry environment. I use it infrequently because my jewelry is cleaned regularly at the jewelers. If it had continued to function I would give it a 5 star. It does work well when it works.

Like the other reviewers, I was excited about receiving it. I took very good care of it, and only used it to clean my engagement ring. I've only had the product for less than 8 weeks. I tried to use it this morning, and the power doesn't come on - it stopped working. Tried to return it, but the Return Center section in Amazon says that the expiration was 15 November for returns. I would be willing to exchange the item, but I guess I don't have that option. I paid $60, ordered it from NessKo Imports. I will try to return it, but I'm not very hopeful. Buy at your own risk! If I get good results from my attempt to return, I will write a follow-up review.UPDATE (03 January 2013) - During the Christmas holiday, I was surprised and elated to receive a package in the mail from Amazon. It was a replacement unit! I had not even returned the unit yet, but they must have seen my review and wanted to make it right. That's what I call customer service! I thought my fiance had secretly ordered it for me, until I found the return slip ;-) I plan to send the broken unit back this week, now that the holiday rush is over. I will change my star rating from 1 to 3, since Amazon made good on the unit, but I'll wait a bit longer and see how long this unit lasts before providing a higher rating. Hope this helps everyone!UPDATE (07 March 2013) - I was excited that Amazon provided me a replacement unit; however, it only lasted TWO WEEKS!! This time, the power comes on, but there's no sonic motion. I may as well use a bowl of soapy water. I kept forgetting to write an update, but remembered it today finally. I doubt that Amazon will send me a third unit. If they do, I will send this unit back and update my review. For now, I am moving the stars back from 3 to 1.... very, very disappointed Amazon Prime Customer.

The unit will not turn on as of this morning. No lights - no cleaning - no nothing. No reset button to push. Just DEAD. We only used it a total of 1 1/2 hours of cleaning time. Incredible that a $60 appliance product would not last any longer or provide longer usable life. Yes -it did an incredible job of cleaning while it worked - but key words: "while it worked".Peeved! Buyer BEWARE! It WILL become a door step quickly! I should have believed the reviews. I should have stayed with buying from Costco - they have a forever satisfaction guarantee with unlimited return privileges except on TV's, cameras and Computers - and even then they double the warranty period.Amazon - really????Update: Via email communications, following my review the Rayne representative agreed to send us a refurbished unit even though it was outside of the warranty period. I have now received the refurbished unit and will return the failed one at his request. I suppose we will see if the second unit lasts more than 1 1/2 hours of use. I would still advise caution to potential buyers given the numerous failures cited in the reviews (including my own) - although the willingness to do "something" for the consumer when the first unit only lasted a year (with only "very infrequent" use) deserves an upgrade from my original one star rating. If the second unit fails, I'll update the review once again.

I purchased this jewelry cleaner about six months ago and was very impressed! I used it to clean rings / glasses and everything came out sparkly and like new! I was very bummed when it stopped working a few days ago - I plugged it in and it simply wouldn't light up anymore. I was even more upset when I started looking at other products and finding I would have to spend around $110 to buy the next best rated product. Before I purchased another, I emailed the company (Nessko Imports) and asked if there was anything they could do. I received a message back within hours and they assured me they would send another to replace the defective item. I am VERY PLEASED with the seller company - Know that this is an EXCELLENT product and if you are unlucky enough to receive a defective item, the seller will stand behind this product.
