Fits perfect and works great. We now have hot water again. Replaced our Honeywell gas valve and temperature control assembly model #WV8840B5069 on our LP Kenmore water heater.

Improper description of product
I am stuck with a part that cost over $100 that was not as described when I ordered it even though I used the proper part number. It said it would fit the model of the hot water heater I ordered it for. Unfortunately, the part that should have connected was improperly threaded so there was no way at all to connect it. Plus because the people who lived where the water heated was installed were not available until 2 days after the return window was closed. I can't afford to order another one and I worry if I will get the right one this time. I know I need to speak with someone but have not been able to reach anyone yet. The unit looks fine and it was only when trying to install it that it was shown that it could not screw in because it was threaded to the left instead of right. There was no indication when I ordered it that it would be a problem. I wonder if that is why there were so many "used" units available. The one I ordered was brand new, never opened.

Not like the original
Seller was great. Delivery was much faster then expected. The controller fit perfectly. It has a couple of what I hope are advancements. The original did not even last a year on a brand new water heater. I hope I will have better luck here. Honeywell should have warrantied the original knowing there were problems with it.

Didn't fit my application.
This one had right-hand threads for the burner assembly. My burner assembly has left-hand threads. I don't know how many different gas valves there are, but I'm discovering a new obstacle every day. First, the male threaded thermostat had to be 2 inches long, not 1 inch. Now this.

Used this to replace internal parts for my water heater control which had overheated
I was hoping this would be a simple remove and replace of the old unit, but the shaft is too short, though the internal wiring was long enough to remove all the internal controls and swap them into my existing housing. Worked perfectly from the first power-up, but be careful not to turn this past "A" setting, as it will overheat.

Worked Great 50 gallon Propane State Hot Water Tank
Worked perfectly, with the help of YouTube I was able to properly replace my gas valve on Sunday afternoon and get hot water, We arrived home from a weeks vacation to discover no hot water late Friday night. Ordered on Saturday, arrived on Sunday. YouTube guided through trouble shooting to determine whether it was the gas valve or thermopile. Pilot flame would light but no flashing light and would die once you try to move the control knob. This fixed it,
