Overall a good buy
The replacement chime fit and worked as promised, was delivered on time and in good shape. My only complaint is that the chime itself is very quiet.

DOA
Chinese junk that doesn’t work right out of the box. The chimes are the only thing that work and they sound cheap.

The media could not be loaded. Â It's great to see this 30 year old clock running and sounding again like it used to! The photos shows what came in the box (including a mounting bracket if you want to actually make a new clock with it), and the old movement (on the left) vs the new one. It's so easy to replace - here are a few tips:- Before you take the clock off the wall, remove the pendulum first.- When you remove the old movement, notice the order of the parts, hands, nuts and washers. - Use a wrench, not pliers to remove and replace the brass locking nut, but don't overtighten. Half a turn past finger-tight is enough.- DO follow the enclosed instructions before putting the hands back on.- Make sure the hands are not bent, so they will not touch each other .- When you "synchronize" the minute hand (to the 15 minute marks), let it run for an hour first. Then move the adjustment slot on the back by very small amounts, it's very sensitive. The width of the slot itself is enough to move the time by about a minute.- When you set the final time, you don't have to wait for the chimes as you pass through the quarter and hour marks, as you do with mechanical clocks. This movement always knows where the hands are, and chimes correctly.- Use lens cleaning fluid and a microfiber cloth on the glass, not window cleaning fluid and paper towels.Enjoy!!
