Amazing budget beginner bow to get into archery
Amazing beginner bow, however if you’re over 6 foot or an adult I’d recommend using this to get used to form and then progressing to release style beginner compound bows. A good option would be a budget bear or diamond bow like an infinite edge pro or better yet diamond infinite 305. However that is 100$+ more and for developing form this is perfect.

Best Starter Bow Ever!
(Attached pics are my groupings at 15 yards.) If you’re new to archery and don’t know where to start, this bow is absolutely the one to get. You can shoot it traditional style like me — I just added a simple arrow rest and use leather finger tabs — or set it up fully as a compound bow with sight, peep, and D-loop. Super flexible. I’ve tested many options, and honestly, for the price, nothing comes close. Once you’re consistently hitting bullseye at 20–25 yards with 40#, you can even sell it for around $80 and upgrade. Just remember to keep your string waxed for long life. Perfect for anyone starting out or practicing target shooting. Use below spine 30inch lighter arrow for best grouping and accuracy. 25lbs - 800 30lbs - 700 35lbs - 600 40lbs - 500

So good that I kinda want to give it a name.
The Gen-X is the first bow I’ve ever owned, and I am absolutely thrilled with it. Even in the first hour of using it, I was able to consistently group and shoot accurately. This beauty is a dream! As a petite woman, I find the size, weight, and strength of the bow to be perfect. After starting off at 30 lbs, I can honestly see myself comfortably growing with this bow as I improve as an archer with no desire to upgrade to the fancy $700-$1000 range. Maxing out at 40 lbs is plenty draw weight for me, and I’d rather master that weight than consistently struggle only to shoot at crazy, impractical distances. This bow is going to be perfect for short-range stealth hunting, wether that be in brush or up in a tree! I installed an off-brand 3-pin sight and a high quality whisker biscuit to the bow with ease. The Gen-X is easy to understand and easy to use with no sacrifice to quality due to its ridiculously reasonable price tag. It really is the perfect compound bow!

This bow is very well made and easily adjustable. I wish it came with some string ...
This bow is very well made and easily adjustable. I wish it came with some string to make a D loop though as I had to make it myself

Amazing bow for the money
I have brachial plexus palsy of the right shoulder and ordered this bow for the lower draw weight because I was afraid I couldn't pull alot of weight. Unboxing and first impression on this bow wow was I amazed. Definitely worth the money, shoots amazing and is really easy to draw back and hold even when set for 40 pounds. Speaking of weight this bow will amaze you with how light it is. Even my 6 year old son can hold it out and aim it fine. This is my very first bow but it's the 4th bow I've shot and of all this one is the smoothest and easiest one.

Great bow for helping to train the kids.
I have other high end hunting bows. Matthews and Bowtech... But my kids are into archery now, and I bought them all the standard Genesis bows, which are good for both 4H and NASP. I too wanted to get a similar, but more adult version to get the real time experience that they were facing, so that I could maybe relate and coach them a little better without using one of my hunting bows. Enter this Genesis Gen-X bow. Great quality, decent power, I am sure it would be enough to kill a deer at relative range... Wide open to accessories, if needed/wanted. Perfect for the purpose I wanted. To work with my kids as they are getting archery and be in the same playing field.

Shipped with no padding
The bow seems well made and I hope to give it more stars after using it. My purpose in writing this review immediately is to share that this product shipped in a bare cardboard box with no padding. That's not comforting since I heard the delivery person drop it on my porch and the box took other hits in transit. The bow seems intact, but I'm a novice so I'll need an expert look it over before I can be confident that it's really in good shape.

Purchased for my son, bow broke on first pull, couldn’t be repaired, even though his dad can fix just about anything. Return 😕
