This is not a "CD"
This item is advertised as a "CD". In order to be labeled and advertised as a "CD", the item must be 16 bit / 44khz, the standard resolution for CD. This gives you the right to print the "Compact Disc Digital Audio" label on the item and advertise it as a "CD". As this has no such label and is not compatible with my server, I have to assume it's a lower than CD quality item. MP3 perhaps? Seems like false advertising.

Sonically great album
Found out about this in an audio magazine, test drove it on Spotify and decided to buy the album. One of the other members of Radiohead besides Thom Yorke --- this is an impressive album.

Hard to say enough
I love Radiohead and was - like most, I imagine - not quite sure what to expect from a member other than Thom or Johnny. Well, what he put out is fantastic. It's rare that I love a CD on it's 1st spin. This is one such album. Tiny hints of Radiohead, world music, atmospheric stuff, but all in all unique, wonderful music.Strongly recommend.

Ya Knew It wasn't/couldn't be All Thom
And Ed is just as interesting solo as RH, and just as danceble as solo TY. And headphone-ish, as well.

Well Done Ed!!
I'm always a little nervous when buying solo albums from highly regarded band members. They frequently seem to be a bit of a let down. Often just a poor imitation of the established band or alternatively so different in style and production that they just don't gel with my musical taste. EOB though has made a fine album with Earth. There's enough of the Radiohead sensibilities in it to massage my need for inventiveness and originality. Buts its never an album Radiohead themselves would create. Very rhythmic, almost trance in places, with a touch of 60's psych. Well done Ed.

Blinder of a first solo album effort for EOB
I hadn't heard anything and went in completely cold, and had it on full blast. I love this. the first track Shangri-La is not a Kinks cover. It's actually a great first song that sets the tone on a great varied, melodic album.I really liked Ed's voice on this too. The style's not a million miles from something a certain Thom might dream up, and no bad thing in my humble opinion. Sorry can't be helped to think of Radiohead influences somewhere. The album is definitely guitar and pedal-centric on a few cuts as you would expect with some of that signature texture you might find on a Radiohead track, but usually just accept it being there rather than realise it's largely Ed doing some of the fiddly pedal effect stuff in the background. He's the 'colour' guy in the band, the one who fills in the textures that fill out a lot of the songs, and there's a bit of that on this album. There's also influence from Brazil in the rhythm and beats giving it it's own flavour. I'd recommend this to people who like Radiohead, for sure. It even features Colin Greenwood playing some bass here and there. Go Ed!

Great throughout
Great album by Ed from Radiohead. Some dreamy music and some more upbeat makes the whole album flow well. Occasional nod to Dave Gilmore on acoustic guitar. Bass guitar is a bit muddy on Olympic which is a killer riff and the bass is a bit loud in the mix but that's just my opinion but I am a bass player. If your not a Radiohead fan you may still like this as it only sounds like them a little on Banksters. The wonderful Shangri la opens this excellent album and there's not a duff track on the album. I'm not that keen on some distorted guitar on one of the tracks which sounds more like a damaged speaker cone.

Great
I bought this with no real expectations. As a massive Radiohead fan I wasn't sure what an Ed solo album would be like but I really like it on merit. Songs and feel are great and lots of hooks. Great stuff if you're listening, Ed.

Overpriced vinyl
£30 for a single vinyl album with no download code is disgraceful. The music is good though
