Good Bike
I have been using the bike for over a month. I find it very reliable. I use it for road biking. I used to have a 24 speed 29โ bike that gave me more speed and was more challenging. When I ordered this one, I was aware of the diminishing. However, this bike is challenging enough for me. When it arrived, it required some assembling but nothing major. From the beginning and over three weeks the disk rotors (front and back) were rubbing some against the break pad. I assumed that of let alone the accumulation of rubbing would fix the problem itself. This is important because the rubbing creates friction and it holds you back when going up hill. Easy fix. Read the instructions on how to adjust disk brakes and do it. You will figure out easily. I recommend this bike, especially to the bike enthusiast. Enjoy it.

Great Quality Bike for the Price..
I think the bike is very good..I already added a a few aftermarket parts but that's my style and also the bike is very light weight and I'm a big guy roughly 6'2" and around 230 but in a good way lol but I can't wait to ride it and get out there. I put it together without any directions I mean but I've been doing that for a long time but the look is beautiful as you can see and no missing parts everything was in the box so but great bike I was expecting something totally different but I'm actually beyond surprised at the looks and just quality. That's all I got.

Death Trap That Resulted in Serious Injury
This bike almost killed me. The front wheel CAME OFF while I was going downhill on a trail. I went over the bars and landed upside down on my shoulder and head, sustaining cuts, bruises, a sprained neck and a grade II AC joint sprain (partially torn ligaments in my AC joint, resulting in shoulder separation). This is a bad injury, but I'm lucky it wasn't much worse. I was wearing a helmet, a backpack with a built in frame that took some of the impact, and I just missed the trees. The wheel coming off was not user errorโI had just paid $150 to have it tuned up and checked over at our local bike shop. It was my first time out on this bike. Prior to the wheel coming off, we noticed that the handle bars were rotating and needed to be tightened twice. The gear shifting is also terrible. My husband purchased this bike for me after seeing it recommended by Consumer Reports. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money to get a bike that won't fall apart while you are riding it, causing serious injury.

Bike is great but Schwinn product support is useless.
I love this bike but unless you are familiar with braking systems on bikes I would recommend purchasing a preassembled bike from a local retailer. Assembly is relatively easy except for adjusting the brakes if, like me, you have never done it before. The bike rides great; the gears shift smoothly. I have no complaints with the product itself. Customer service, however, is a different story all together. My bike was missing a screw on the brake caliper. That it, just one 50 cent screw. As per their instructions, I logged on to the Schwinn website to contact customer support. The website suggests rereading the instruction manual and going through the packaging to locate missing parts. Next you have to fill out a report including pictures of the problem you are having and your sales receipt. Then you get an email saying someone will contact you within 2 business days. After the two days have passed you get another AI generated email suggesting that you reread your instructions and then send pictures of the problem and sales receipt. I am not sure what happens after that because I gave up, ordered some screws online and fixed the brakes. I know I could have just done that to begin with but when I spend $300 on a bike I don't think it is to much to ask for it to have a working brake system with all the screws.

Nice bike
It went together easily in less than an hour. Make sure the front fork is forward or the pedals will hit the front tire. Tires are both a little soft so it needs air before I ride it. The rear wheel didn't come with a clamp regular bolts hold it on. The front had the clamp. No scratches out of box. Rims are a little off with a slight wobble. They could have spent more time with the spoke tool fixing the run out. So far out of the box I'm happy with it. I did replace the pedals with a nice aftermarket set. After riding it a bit my A$$ is a bit sore so I ordered another seat. Overall I'm nearly 60 and didn't ride a bike in 30 years. I like my new 29" Schwinn. It will be used for casual rides with my wife.

A great bike.
I was tired of buying bikes from Walmart only for them to break in a year, when my friend recommended me this brand, so I promptly bought it. Safe to say, it was a great choice. It was only a little difficult to assemble, but it works really nicely and is very reliable as I've been using it for awhile now in rough terrain. It is most certainly worth the money as I myself have had no problems with this bike, 10/10, would buy again

Updated Review 2024, Good bike but with some caveats
Update in 2024 I still like this bike, it has aluminum frame, disc brakes front and back, smooth derailleurs most of the time. Nice looking frame. Nice aluminum wheels. However, there are a few things I noticed over the past two years and upgraded to make the ride smooth. 1. I have replaced the BB with more modern sealed BB. Why? The pedals stutters and there was knocking sound somewhere, you can feel it wants to pause at specific angles and not very smooth, this was done only after 40-50 miles over the course of 1.5 years. Cost $30 including tools. Schwinn support was useless in finding BB that is compatible. Despite the spindle length of 68x126mm on the existing bike I had to get 68x122.5mm BB to ensure front derailleur compatibility. 2. Pedals. After BB replacement, I was still getting this very annoying knocking noise especially when going uphill. Didn't help but the new pedals are so smooth, so I kept them. 3. Wheels. I was finally able to narrow the source of noise to rear wheel and visually see the freewheel wobbles back and forth when the wheels are spinning, something inside was wrong. The knocking sound came on and off likely due to pawl sometimes disengage even if constantly pedaling. The quality of freewheel is quite bad, not what I expect from ~$450 bike. Note I weigh about 170 and I do not do jump or off road mostly on road with some light hilly road. Cost ~$200 including two wheels, new cassettes, spacers and tools. If I only upgrade the free hub, it would only cost $30-$50 but requires rebuilding the wheel. What's disappointing was a "mountain bike" manufactured in 2022 still uses freewheel that can easily break. It is quite cheap. This is not a one hundred dollar bike you buy from Walmart. Come on Schwinn 4. Some other things I replaced, the cheap rubber hand grips $15, replace the uncomfortable saddle $30. 5. Some other things about to break, both shifters are about to die, especially when twisting to the highest tension. Review in 2022 The bike itself is pretty good. It rides well, shifts smoothly and brakes are very responsive. However, there are assembling issues that re not so beginner friendly, mainly in three areas: the derailleurs, the brakes and the wheels. The derailleur shifts out of the box but skips gears thus requires adjustments. Both H/L limit screws and the cable adjuster were adjusted which costed about 40-60min. The router of the rear brake isnโt perfectly flat this makes scratch noise, I had to bend it slightly to fix the issue. The most time consuming part was trueing the wheel, the rear wheel wobbles out of the box, I had to purchase wheel spoke tension tools to adjust the tension and true the wheel. All in all, I like the bike after all the necessary adjustments but it would be great if all these issues were addressed prior shipping to customers.

Good bike !!
Great bike , rides smooth, I added a bigger spring loaded seat to it . Takes a bit of adjusting cables to get brakes and shifting to perfect . I've owned quite a few bikes in the past that were absolutely uncomfortable to ride and they always ended up as garage wall decor . I'm not seeing that with this one. It's pretty light I've only ridden it a few miles but I like it . As for the pedals falling off in the other reviews , the pedal arms are aluminum along with the pedal studs look to be also . I would not overtighten them. I can see it would be very easy to overtighten them and strip the threads right off . All in all I think it's pretty good quality besides the aluminum pedal thing .

Pricey but worth it
Got the 24" size for my 9 year old and won't need to buy another bike for awhile. This bike checked all the boxes we were looking for: great quality, disk brakes, small frame, light weight material that won't rust. Arrived when expected and was relatively easy to assemble with the directions. Very impressed.

Overall bike is great.
I like the fact that the bike fits for a 5'9 tall guy like me. My wife is 5'5 and she needs to adjust the seat lower. Assembly was good, but had to adjust the brakes and the gear for it wasn't changing.

Dangerous product
The speed changer is useless, it will only make your chain fall and make you in danger, the handlebar binder connected to the front fork ready when it arrived, but it will loosen during riding, and eventually lose control of the direction of the bike. You have to bring a tool to twist the nail while riding. Very dangerous product.

Good quality bike, recommend for all ages.
I love this bike. I'm 5'1 and this bike is a perfect fit. The color is more of a hot pink but really nice. I found it very hard to assemble though and I even had to watch videos to help me. For someone who doesn't assemble bikes thr directions were not easy to follow and tge pictures were not very clear. Plus the directions were sometimes a little to vague. I wish Schwinn would put a assembly video for every kind of bike they have. With how much I spent I really didn't like that I scratched up a few spots. But now that my bike is put together I love the quality and durability.
