Malibu LED Floodlight - Black Model# 8401-2604-01

These lights are very solid (good quality) and are the perfect brightness and color temperature for my yard. Highly recommend if you are replacing existing Malibu spotlights (and assume that they would also work great with any other low voltage system).

Im an electrical contractor, I just did a major home renovation. When it came to the landscaping I was looking for a middle of the road landscape light. The expensive ones are really not worth it and since I needed about 40 or them they really weren't to an option. I went with these, they are bright but not too bright, don't seem to let water in, the color is consistent from fixture to fixture and they are easy to install and efficient. I don't really have anything negative to say about the. If they were priced at $20.00 each or if like a discounted 10 pack was available that would have been great.

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical when I read the description saying that this LED light was comparable to the Malibu 20 watt Halogen landscape lights that I’ve had for 18 years. But I decided to trust Malibu’s integrity and ordered one to replace one of my lights that was damaged in a recent storm. My trust was not misplaced. I installed the LED light in a large planter that contained two landscape lights. There is NO noticeable difference between the amount of light produced by the LED light and the Halogen light. I you are looking close and know there are two different lights in that planter, the you can see that the LED light is slightly dimmer. I’m sure my neighbors will not notice. The construction of the light itself is the same metal as the Halogen versions. I’m sure if they wanted to they could sell the LED component as a replacement for the Halogen socket on the original.This is an early review as I just installed it today, so I have no idea what the durability of the product will be. But the impression is one the is consistent with the quality for which Malibu is known.

Have a number of these in our landscaping and am very pleased with them. They have lasted with no issues.I wanted to add another light, so am going with the same fixture for sure!!

Easy to install. Look nice. Used to uplight trees

I have purchased Malibu lights for the last twenty years and never had a problem till I bought this model. It's normally fairly easy to squeeze the contacts onto the wire and make them work, however, I am only able to get one of the three to work. The triangular contact(prongs) are not piercing the thin cable and apparently is not making contact even though I have used pliers to fully squeeze them together. I think they are too small. Also the plastic connectors are very flimsy. I am going to find the model that has larger prongs and thicker connections. The only bright side to the hours I spent is the one that worked is as bright as the other 20watt ones I have.

Repeat order to replace units in existing installation. Very satisfied with them. Price is right. Last a long time in heat and rain. Bright strength.
