Stepped up my workout
After reading some of the earlier reviews I was a bit concerned but I really wanted a step and the price couldn't be beat. I've used it daily for the past two weeks and it is great. Yes the screws are too small and when I move the step it doesn't seem steady but when I put the balance board on it, it is perfect. It's a good height and the step count is spot on, no missed steps at all. I'm burning almost twice as many calories on Step Aerobics with the step. I wish I bought it sooner.

Love It its STACKABLE too !!!
I just got my step Riser and I love it the issue with weight not calculating was fixed the balance board fits perfectly without pennies or poker chips lol its makes my workouts so much more intense and I really work up a sweat ALSO they are STACKABLE so while I have the 3" I can buy another set and have a 6" I love that!!! If you are on the fence about this just take a leap and buy it you wont be sorry!!! Also about the over powering smell people keep talking about NOPE I didnt smell a thing and I have a sensitive nose :0)

poor workmanship, but sturdy
After reading many reviews for many different risers, I chose this one. I was immediately disappointed when the small screws went into the holes and just kept spinning. The screws are too small and didn't grip the plastic underneath at all. I found larger screws in my toolbox and that helped a little. The cross-brace is still loose (which annoys me everytime I pick it up) but once the balance board is on it, it is very sturdy. I have not had any problems with the accuracy in weight or step recognition like others posted.

Pros and Cons
Just received this riser. Over all I think it is a good product. However it has a problem that the engineers should have spotted easily. The holes for the Wii Fit board are too deep. This causes the sensors to give incorrect information on weight and BMI to the game. It also fails to read stepping and excercising properly. I solved this problem by putting two poker chips in each of the holes for the Wii board feet. This gave just enough rise and still kept the board stable on the riser. Everything works great now. If the product had been made properly I would have given it 5 stars. Since it needed me to modify the flaw, it only rates 1 star. If I hadn't thought of the poker chips it would have rated a big fat "0". I hope the people at Everlast take note. I'm sure that many of these will be returned because of a truly stupid error. I would still recommend this product because it is the best of the two risers on the market for Wii.

Bad Purchase
I had high hopes for this to boost the step workout in my Wii Fit Plus game. However, it throws off my weight - you have to take the block off for the initial weigh-in or you'll be WAY underweight. In addition, it's not sturdy. I had my husband tighten the 4 little screws it comes with and it still sort of sinks in when I try to drag it across the floor. You have to pick it up by the center and carry it. These sound like knit-picky things, yes, but really, for $25 and the brand name, I was expecting a little more? Also, for some reason, it makes my board sort of stick - like it won't count a step or two (it says "MISS" when surely, I didn't miss) and it tells me to step off the board first and I'm not on the board. Don't know - it's really strange! Anyway, that's my piece.

Love it.
I really like this product. I use it when for the Step and Advance Step games on the Wii Fit, and haven't had any problems with it. I have been using it on carpeting, without coins in the holes (like the previous reviews mentioned) and it still measures my weight accurately. I think it registers my steps well too. I have been getting more 'goods' than 'excellents', but I think thats because of the added difficulty, not because the balance board isn't registering my movements. The extra 3 inches really increases the difficutly of my workout, I break a sweat much quicker. I would deffinately reccomend this product.

works PERFECT - don't know what everyone is complaining about
i don't know why everyone says this doesn't read their movements, as it read mine perfectly. maybe i got a later model? either way, i got mine in christmas 2009 and it works perfectly. especially on step aerobics and other step related things. i even tried it on hula hoop just to see if it'd read my movements and it picked them up fine as it normally would.it's extremely durable and handles my weight (which at the time was 182 but now i'm 173 thanks to wii fit!) if you weigh more or less, i can't vouch for the experience but it shouldn't be any different.

That'll do Everlast...That'll do.
I agree with the other reviews here.Pros:1) The step increases the intensity of the workout.2) The product is solid and the board is stable when you are on it.Cons:1) The holes on the step are too deep and don't register correctly without a little modification. Not the fault of Everlast:1) Wii games don't let you adjust for the fact that you are on a 3" step so the calorie burn numbers are even more of a guess than they were before the step.
