Very well written and well thought out. Great resource for anyone going through any type of transition and those who want to take their leadership to the next level.

Great topics and strategies for starting a new job. An engaging read and novel concepts for breaking up the first 90 days of starting a new position. Addresses being hired with a new company, as well as promotion within the same company. I wish I read this 10 years ago, highly recommend.

This book is full of nuggets of wisdom from a top-tier consultant for onboarding and transition programs in Fortune 500 companies. It is focused on developing an action plan for the first 90 days of any executive in a new role. I recommend doing the exercises as we do not actually take the time to pause and reflect on what is going on in our day-to-day, besides a couple of actionable key insights will appear.CAVEAT: many parts of the book might not apply to you depending on the type of situation you are in at the moment of reading it, hence, this is a go to book as transitions become more common in today's business world.

While a lot of this is common sense, it is laid out in a very orderly fashion that can help the person in transition pay attention to the various aspects of that process. The STARS tool of types of leadership needed was very helpful in both assessing the situation and considering how that impacts transition.

This book helps people handle transitions into a new company or a new role. It provides a framework (dubbed STARS) for properly diagnosing the situation we are landing in, and a set of tools (e.g. negotiate expectations, create alliances, create org. alignment, identify early wins, map influencers, etc) and guidelines for what to focus on given our initial diagnosis.I wouldn't say that the advice or insight here is groundbreaking or unintuitive, but the book’s value resides in officiating as a checklist, spurring thought and intentionality during the early phase of a job transition. Some of the content, related to creating a strategy, seeking organizational alignment, and building a team, are worth revisiting since these challenges can arise at any point.

This is incredible book if you want to move up in your current place of employment or look for other opportunities! It gives you so many different perspectives! When going into my role I had this idea of how I was going to “shake things up”! Luckily I read the book prior to starting and gave me such a more insightful way to look at things! I am more successful bc of this book!

A coworker told me about this book and there’s a lot of things that are applicable. I like it so much. I ended up getting the audiobook and listen to it to and from work from time to time as a refresher.

It’s an amazing book that every Manager and especially people in transition should read. It not only shares insights to transition challenges but proven approaches which makes the content unique!!

The book is well structured with many actionable points. Maybe it is more targeted at senior and upper management, nonetheless, many lessons can be learned for middle managers on how to help their boss to achieve their respective targets and play a pivotal role in it.

The book is amazing. The content is extremely helpful, good structured and comes with a lot of templates, ready to use. I highly recommend this book as a classic one for new leaders or persons who take over a new responsibility

Muchos ejemplos ayudan a digerir más fácilmente la información, además que brinda tips relevantes a tomar en cuenta durante los primeros 90 Días. Creo que pocos libros he disfrutado como este. Viví mis primeros 45 días con la lectura en paralelo y los resultados se vieron de inmediato. Te invito a leerlo!!!
