It does it job

I usually take XL but, based on other comments as well as the sizing guide, I opted to purchase XXL. It is large enough to to allow me to wear a jacket underneath in those cold November rains. I'm a crossing guard at a wide-open, unprotected post and standing in the rain for an hour in a poncho just doesn't cut it.Since this is a man's coat and I'm vertically challenged (5'3"), the coat comes down almost to my ankles which will also work well. I haven't used it yet but the coat seems to be sturdy enough for my needs. The only drawback is the hood - even snugged down it's way too large and the edge flops down to my nose. I'll have to figure a way to pull it back and draw it down to the collar in the back or else wear a rain hat.2/17 addendum: I didn't actually start using this coat until I'd owned it for about 6 months and discovered some problems. The drawstring for the hood is extremely short and awkward to use. The simple fix: replace it with a 36" shoelace. The other problem was that the hood should have been manufactured with 3 snaps but mine only came with snaps at the center and on the right side. This means that the hood cannot be snugged down properly. I wish I had checked all the snaps at time of purchase.

I purchased this raincoat for my son who about 6' tall. Generally he wears aL in tees and an XL in shirts for a comfortable fit; his waistline is 36". I ordered an XL in the raincoat after comparing the specs, and was very pleased to see how well it fit my son. It's roomy enough to wear over clothes as intended; and it actually covers my sons knees; the sleeves are also perfect. The snap fastener hardware is strong and very durable.The nylon fabric is of an exquisite quality.. in fact the package weighed much because of the thickness of the raincoat. This coat could easily last my son 10 years!!! I'm SERIOUS... it's worth every penny and more! I am very satisfied with this raincoat! Yay 😃

I'm not a small man. normally wear 2x so went with 3x which could have been a tad larger through the shoulders. Had to put it to use the first day I received it and it worked great.. So my 4 vs 5 vote has more to do with me than the product which functions great but didn't quite fit me. Go for the next size up and you should be good to go.

Barely fits but is long so keeps me very dry. It doesn't breath well. When it isn't cold, I find that it really makes me feel over heated. I have experienced many days that aren't cold and yet I get drenched with rain. I would like a bigger hood and one that attaches to the head better wind accompanies rain many times and drives the rain at me and I need something that stays on with all of that.

I'm fairly trim and this coat was snug. A size up may be in order. If you're looking for a bullet-proof, won't leak PVC raincoat, this may be it. As are all raincoats made of this material, they're somewhat stiff.

Like it much fits great!
