Limited 180gm audiophile vinyl LP pressing. Includes explicit sleeve and insert. The Distillers major label debut Coral Fang is the most remarkable album they recorded to date. It is raw and effective with Bordy Dalle's screaming vocal work and the catchy guitar driven rock 'n' roll. The album is filled with highlights focusing on her ex-husband and the internet. Poetic lyrics and trashing guitars melting together on album opener 'Drain the Blood', while the start/stop build 'The Hunger' is just pure adrenaline at it's best. Bordy has a depth and subtlety in her voice that only a few female punk vocalists had. Coral Fang rocks hard and was a refreshing record in the changing landscape of the early zero's.

Not the Major Label Dud that Some Would Have You Believe
This is really good but not quite as good as the previous efforts by the Distillers, to my ears at any rate. It rocks and in spite of some people's goofy insistence that Brody's looks somehow lessens her punk rock credibility I would argue that she doesn't try to pass off that ska stuff that her (at the time) husband's band Rancid dabbled with and seemed to think was punk. Oh I guess I am trying to bait the skasters out there with that one :) Get the vinyl for the unedited (photo) larger format cover art and a little more sonic presence. Great gravely vocals here that still emote and the band rocks hard. The only thing I could do without is the extended noise filler noodley stuff at the end.

Great album!
One of the most important albums of my youth. Glad to have it on vinyl.Packaging is good, though the outer plastic sleeve tore the first time I put the record back in. Record is clear. Sounds about the same as the CD to my less-than-audiophile ears but that's what I expected from and album from that era.

Amazing
Sometimes I have to pay respect to Brody's incredible talent and set this one down so as not to ever be tired of it. The entire thing is just too amazing and brilliant to go and wear it out. Her pain is beautiful in a punk style I've never heard that kind of pain in. Every time I listen to this CD, I have to listen to it more than once because it makes my heart cave in. If you're in the mood to be a sad, rowdy punk, this is the one for you. I also recommend that you try Brody's first Distillers album. It's the rowdiest punk I've heard since Kurt Cobain, and really great. The second album, Sing Sing Death House, is awesome. Unfortunately, Coral Fang is the last one of the Distillers. If you love punk, I highly recommend all three CDs.

The nostalgia is strong with this one. Still one of my all time favorite albums.
Brody Dalle is one of my forever woman crushes. I used to have all of The Distillers CDs when I was a little punk with brightly dyed hair but have since moved many times and had many things lost or stolen throughout my journeys...lol.... Coral Fang was THE album that encompassed how I was feeling throughout some rough times... it got me through a lot! Thank you to the seller Rising Dots here on Amazon for the quick service! I was able to snag a copy of Coral Fang, with the uncensored artwork this time around! If you haven't already, check out Spinnerette & Brody Dalle's latest solo album!

10/10
I had recently bought this album to have some cds in my car and it had me rediscovering my love for this album. The style and lyrics really complement each track and you can hear the emotion in Brody’s voice. From begging to end, Coral Fang is still a banger. Although you can stream this album anywhere on the internet...I recommend the psychical copy for the punk-rock collection and the nostalgic feels.

Not an original MOVLP pressing (that could be considered a + but i already had it in my collection)
This used the exact same lacquers (or master, not entirely sure how it works) as the previous RSD release of this album that was pressed like 2.5 years ago. That's not necessarily a bad thing in itself but since i already own that edition i was expecting to find something different here, perhaps something that could have been done better if that is possible (which i think it is, specially if they cut it in 2LPs you can for sure get better results). Other than this the edition is fine, the outer sleeve is resealable which is always nice and if you get the clear vinyl it's also a nice touch. Other than this there is barely anything else worth noting that differs from that other RSD edition.Since this is perhaps the easiest edition to obtain i would only recommend it to people who don't have it already, if you already own the RSD edition i would recommend to skip this one. If you are not sure if vinyl is your thing vs cds i don't think this is the album that will convince you either.

Bent and unplayable
The vinyl is so bent to the point that it is unplayable. It’s totally unacceptable whether it be the fault of the seller or the courier. Just a heads up on anyone who plans to buy this vinyl that it has the potential to be delivered like this.

Brilliant - stumbled upon this by accident and can't stop ...
Brilliant - stumbled upon this by accident and can't stop listening to it. Great mixture of punk and grunge influences with anthemic choruses, great guitar riffs and a tight band.
