DialCorporation 88047 Dial Liquid Gold Antimicrobial Soap, 1 gal

This is Dial Liquid Gold Professional soap. It has (HAD) the original Triclosan in it. Professional means it's for hospitals and clinics. The regular Dial Liquid Gold that doesn't say Professional on it is for consumers, and the Triclosan has been replaced by Benzethonium Chloride. (Looks like the FDA got to this one too!) You can't find anything in your house, nothing, that isn't government regulated. Sad.I like the Triclosan version better than the Benzethonium version so I buy the Professional. I only use it in small amounts because regular non-antibacterial soap works just as well for almost everything.All of the data that say Triclosan might be a problem come from animal studies. Too many companies were putting it in everything including body washes, so the FDA banned it from consumer products despite the lack of human studies. In general, the FDA does not like antibacterial soaps of any kind because regular soap works just as well for consumers.Moderation is generally good!Update: My gallon of 88047 came with Trilosan. I contacted the vendor before I bought it to make sure I was getting the one I expected. Looks like my vendor had some in stock prior to the FDA removing it from hospital products.The new one with Benzethonium Chloride kills a lot of stuff. I buy hand sanitizer wipes to carry around that use Benzethonium Chloride instead of alcohol. It's easier on my hands and inexpensive.

Purchase mine in May of 2017. This is the new stuff with Benzethonium Chloride as the active ingredient.Be aware that it is chemically incompatible with the older formula. If you try to mix the two, you will form a cloudy mess that will not pump well.The new stuff is just fine. There are actually legitimate questions about just how efffective Triclosan was, especially at the concentrations in consumer soaps and cleansers. Henkel says that this new formula kills 99.9% of germs and that is based on current testing. It smells the same. Pumps well. And lathers and cleans just fine.Just be aware that you are going to have to do a switch over process and clean out your dispensers.

False advertising. I received AntiBACTERIAL soap and not the AntiMICROBIAL soap shown. Buy at your own risk!

Box was slightly damaged when received. The lid on jug was not on securely and some product had leaked out into the box. It was left on front porch and it was raining.I ordered this because we use dial soap and it is good for the value!!

But thanks to Amazon, So happy to Find not only this, but much bigger size I've ever seen! Dial professional Gold Antimicrobial Liquid Soap helps remove bacteria from hands, and scent is mild, you can use it anywhere in the kitchen, bathroom, and as a shower soap.
