Boys and Toddlers' Uniform Woven Flat-Front Shorts

I received these for my son yesterday. He is 10 years old and in between an 8 and a 10. I ordered a 10 and these do fit large on him. I love the fabric though. They seem very soft and nice quality. I have ordered an 8 to see if that would fit better. He could get away with a 10 possibly but they are pretty big. I may return or save for next year depending on how the 8’s fit. I have a feeling the 8’s will be perfect seeming they run a tad big. The only complaint I have is the button. My son prefers the clasp closure because it’s easier. If your child is in between sizes you may wanna go with the smaller size. I will update when we recieve the size 8’s. I also ordered the washed navy and hope they are not too faded washed looking. I’m excited about the amazon clothing line, they seem like good quality at a great price! I hope they wash well.Updat: I haven’t recieved the 8’s before first day of school and the 10’s actually fit great after cinching them with room to grow. I may actually end up ordering more of the 10’s in exchange for the 8’s depending on length of the 8’s. I think the length is perfect. I hate extra long and wide shorts on boys. These look more refined.

These Amazon Essentials shorts are great- surprisingly good quality, thick (but not heavy) material, adjustable waist, and hook closure (no loose buttons!). I sized to a 3T because my 4yo son is petite.

Other amazon essential chino short listings allow me to select “S” or “H”. Slim or husky I presume. This listing did not give a choice and husky was sent. They are too big. My son has the slims in the same number size and they are perfect. Wish they would signify what the fit is on this listing! Even with the elastic cinch the huskies are very roomy. The elastic cinch wasn’t used on the slims. Need for family pictures today. No enough time to exchange. :(

Small fit. Size 14 did not fit my 13 year old, 5'5, 100 lbs son.

Kind of shocked to find Amazon brand uniform shorts, but they are actually worth every penny! The material is very sturdy, but soft. A nice shade of dark grey. They are easy to iron and iron the crease back into them. The only downside is that they already are starting to appear well washed after just 3 washes, but so far so good. I plan to buy more.They hit my son just above his knee. I bought the size 7, which are slightly big for my 6 year old, but they have the adjustable waist bands on the inside so a small adjustment makes them stay up without a belt. My son's school allows shorts for Sept/Oct and Apr/May, so these will still fit in May when the weather gets warmer. The best part was that I was in a pinch because grey is not usually a color I find at most stores for uniforms, so these shorts, the price, and prime shipping made this mama very happy!

My school-aged son is outgrowing everything we get him. He's resorted to wearing basketball shorts and his sports shirts daily for comfort, which I usually would not mind since we're staying at home during the pandemic anyway. However, life is moving again and we need a new wardrobe for summer that is comfortable enough for him to play in (he's a super active kid!) while also looking like he has a mom who does laundry every week or couple of weeks... or whenever. Anyways, I was shopping around, looking for something that he can get away with wearing once or twice a week and BAM! Amazon Essentials presents to me these basic knee-length shorts that are both affordable and don't let my son look like he has to hunt squirrels for survival. I mean, I bought these shorts for less than $4. I decided to get the same exact pair in navy, too! Now he has almost an entire week's wardrobe for less than $8!They fit him pretty well, and the waist is adjustable, which is great because we all packed a couple of pounds during this pandemic. I think the length is great. It's long enough to look hetero for our culture of masculine toxicity, while not being too long and presenting him as some type of skaterboi/thug/hippy or androgynous. Thumbs up!

My son is a little husky. He is 8 but has some hips and booty. He fits often size 10 to 12 in pants or shorts. I read reviews and decided to go for it. I was really thinking they wouldn't fit but they really did. They look awesome on him. He really likes them a lot. The quality is really nice. I like Amazon basics clothing. Haven't been unhappy so far with my purchases. For reference my son is almost 9 but wears 10-12 clothing due to his husky body. He's not overweight just a little more to love 💓

These fit nice on my 10 yr old 80 pound son. I bought size 12 and the waist is loose, but they have the inside button to tighten waist so they fit perfectly!! The length is about an inch longer than his knees, again, perfect! Thick material with zipper fly and button with belt loops. These are great school uniform shorts. A huge step up in quality over the terrible Walmart shorts bought in desperation last year!!!

I ordered two pairs, these and a navy pair at the start of lockdown, the weather was heating up and my son was desperate for shorts. They are so much better than I expected, the wash well and the colour is true to the picture. I will definitely be buying more, super pleased with the look and the fit.

These are great!! My boy is quite slim so I’d say that bigger sizer are better if your child is a bit bigger. They look nice and are durable!

They fit my 7 year old well, whose quite slim. Very good quality. Just be aware that they are on the small side so I didn’t need the adjusters. I would highly recommend sizing up as you can easily adjust the waist down.

I like this short for my 9 yrs old son, perfect size, nice quality. I purchase 2 more. It will match with every t-shirt. Ready for summer look.
