Still available? Great medication in bottle packaging
This product is essential for family members with chronic digestive issues. When I tried to re-order, though, it showed as no longer available. The medication itself is fine, but having the product in a bottle rather than a blister pack was very, very welcome. There is no reason for the tablets to be in a blister pack unless your family only rarely uses it.

Read the fine print!!!
We had hoped we finally found this drug in an easy to use bottle container. We are senior citizens and find blister packs difficult to deal with. These "bottles" contain 6 blister packs which were not only not what we expected but they were the most difficult blister packs we have ever had to deal with! Read the fine print and don't be fooled. Apparently the FDA has deemed this drug dangerous enough to limit its use ... too bad they aren't so concerned with opioids!

In blister packs, NOT a bottle! Crap!
Product photos seem to suggest it come in a bottle so I didn’t read the fine print that says it actually comes in individual blister packs that require scissors/ knife, precise peeling techniques & practically a blow torch to get open (& really, who wants to deal with that when you’re trying to get relief from a very “runny” situation?) I actually broke a bunch of these trying to get them out of the packet! What a literal pain in the a#! Better keep some scissors next to the toilet!

Beware Fine Print
Product does what it's supposed to. It's Anti-Diarrhea medicine, 2mg each. But the issue is the packaging. Each box only contains 24 pills, and they are packs of 2. So If you order 3, you get 6 boxes. Math. The issue I had was the plastic tabs each pill came wrapped in. They are not push out tabs. You have to cut each one open with scissors, as shown by the instructions on the back. Some of my boxes came crushed, some were fine. I want to say about half crushed half normal. None of them were expired so that's good.If you are looking for a bottle of pills, this isn't it. If you have arthritis, or joint pain in your hands, or just plain don't want to waste 10 minutes every time you need medicine getting scissors out and cutting open each individual pill pack all while dealing with diarrhea and trying not to crap your pants, then this isn't the product for you.

Packaging
Unfortunately, people have been abusing this product. if you take enough, you can get a high similar to that produced by opiates. In September, 2019, the FDA stipulated this product must now be in "...blister packs or other single dose packaging and to limit the number of doses in a package. " So, people that abused this medication make it hard on people that don't. Same with Pseudoephedrine, which can be used as a precursor to crystal meth. That's why you have to show your license to purchase Pseudoephedrine now. I know Publix will only provide loperamide from the customer service desk. It's no longer on their shelves. Thanks to the drug abusers!

DO NOT BUY
Worse packaging ever. Impossible to open. Pills come in blister packs. Impossible to tear open. Impossible to peel back the backing. Impossible to even use scissors. Directions say to use scissors but that doesn't work. Use scissors? Really! What if I just throw these in my pocket to take them with me. Didn't know that I would also put a pair of scissors in my pocket too. I WILL NEVER BUY THESE AGAIN.

Almost impossible to open Package
The pills work fine. But the problem is getting access to them . These are absolutely the most difficult blister packs I've ever had to try opening. While some people blame it on FDA regulations they are still much more difficult than they should be to open. At first I did not want to believe other reports that said how difficult they are. Now, I have learned my lesson and will never buy these again. There are other effective pills that come in bottles.

Great packaging
Hooray! The pills were in a blister pack that I could actually open. Bless Equate for caring about how people can open their product since we can no longer obtain it in bottles. I couldn't open certain styles of blister packs 15 years ago and my hands are much worse now so when the packaging rules changed to no bottles I just dreaded when I needed to use this medication, I bought a different brand and it had the dreaded awful blister packs near impossible for me to open. I will plan to purchase Equate products from now on. If I could give them 10 stars for packaging I would! The seller shipped promptly and product was as described.
