Great idea; some considerations
These things do what they say they do - charge your phone without undue wear and strain on the device's Micro USB socket. Goldilocks magnets: The strength of the magnets will always be a compromise. Given that phones only weigh a few ounces and are often slippery as all get out, a magnet weak enough to not pull a phone off a tabletop would be so weak that the cable would fall off of its own weight. On the other hand, a magnet strong enough that you would never accidentally pop the cable off using the phone in your car would grip tightly enough to be an annoyance or potentially damage your Micro USB jack. These tread the middle ground pretty well. If I grab the phone off the nightstand, the cable drops away without yanking the phone out of my hand. But I have to be a wee bit careful in the car. Nice wire: The fabric-sheathed cable is a lot more flexible and generally nicer than the usual stiff vinyl-clad ones. Good, if unusual customer service: At first, my cables didn't work with my Samsung phone. Customer service takes place over a Facebook Messenger conversation. A nice fellow with less than perfect English answered my query in about 18 hours. There was about 12 to 18 hours between each message and its response. In the context of live chat, that's pretty poky, but in the context of email, it's blazing fast. So, a bit odd, but actually quite pleasant. Samsung issue resolved: Two of the three cables in my original order didn't work on my Samsung Galaxy S7. In the course of my conversation with customer service, the rep asked if I had tried all three cables. I hadn't. In the interest of due diligence, I tried the third cable. And it worked fine! The issue was, apparently, that when I put the adapters in the phone's Micro USB socket, I did so by just pressing the adapter in with my fingertip. Apparently, the soft pad of my fingertip didn't transmit enough pressure to seat the adapter fully in the jack. When I went back to test the remaining cable, for no conscious reason, I used the connector on the cable to push in the adapter and - voila - a working connection! Knowing this, I had no further issues on either Galaxy S7 phones or my Samsung Tab S tablet. The customer service guy said that they had encountered issues with Samsung jacks being "quite tight" before. Data transfer works fine: I haven't tested for throughput, but file transfer and Android Auto both work OK. It doesn't make any difference which side of the connector you use. (Early versions of these cables only worked with the connector in one direction, according to some Amazon listings.) The little adapter is tricky: I used a pair of needlenose pliers (my multitool, actually) to - very carefully - pull the adapter straight out of the phone. My phone case makes getting a fingernail or tool under the edge of the adapter impossible. Be careful not to break the magnet. It's pretty brittle. Yup. I broke one. Plastic-jawed needlenoses might be the way to go. (He says in hindsight.) By the time you get enough cables, you'll have a few spare adapters. You need more of these than you think: Since you can't switch back and forth in the blink of an eye with ordinary cables, you'll need one of these cables for each place you charge your phone. In my wife's and my case, for two phones, that means two nightstands, two desks, two portable battery pack chargers, and three cars, Or nine cables. Throw in a couple of tablets and you're up to a dozen or so. Be forewarned. So I'm darn glad these are priced reasonably. Just sayin'. <Oops. Edit to fix "MicroSD" which I somehow managed to type all the way through the review when I meant "Micro USB" Sorry 'bout that.>

Charges phone, works with Android Auto and computer USB access to phone
My biggest concern, after the cable working at all, was that it works with Android Auto. My Kenwood head unit supports audio over Bluetooth, but all Android Auto functions require a wired connection. This cable works great for that. I can also plug it into my computer and transfer files exactly the same as with a standard (non-magnetic) USB-C cable. I also appreciate that every cable comes with two connectors (a USB-C and a micro-USB), so I can use the cables interchangeably with various devices. The only complaint, and this is trivial, is that I would not mind if the magnet were stronger. In the car or in bed, it is easy to bump the cable and cause it to disconnect. I am pretty sure this is not something that can be made better, and I doubt any other cable does it better either. The connector would probably have to be larger to fit a bigger magnet, and that would not be good. Still, if you are the sort of person to wave your phone around while charging it, be prepared to be more careful. (On the flipside, the ease of disconnection is good in that it makes it nearly impossible to damage the phone or cable, and means you can "unplug" it with one hand, just pull the phone away and the connection separates.) The LED on the phone-end of the cable is great. Makes it easy to find in the dark, and gives confirmation that the cable is plugged into power. Even at nearly 3x the price I usually pay for USB-C cables, they are well worth it. In fact, I am off to buy more. (Note, as mentioned in other questions/reviews, if you have an iPhone/iPad with a Lightning connector, you need to look for the one with that connector. This is USB-C/micro-USB only.)

Love them, except in headsets, but keep them clean
Great quality cables, nice durable material on the cable sheath, and the magnetic grab is stronger than you might expect. I love the idea of leaving the adapter inside devices as the most common reason I've had to replace my phone was because the USB connector was worn out or broken. The oval shape of the connector is fairly narrow and so it fits on my phone, even with a phone case which is awesome. I was worried some of the larger circular connectors wouldn't work with a case. Two problems I've run into: 1) I put the USB-C adapter in my Samsung phone, and the Micro-B adapter in my Plantronics headset, which seemed like a perfect combination for the two adapters. However everyone I spoke to on the phone then complained that my audio was terrible, breaking up, static etc. It turns out that the magnet in the adapter was negatively affecting the Plantonics blutooth headset, so I had to give up on using it for that. It works great in the phone. It might have been a better design if only the cable was magnetic and the adapter was simple steel, but instead both the adapter and the cable are magnetic (which probably yields a stronger magnetic bond) but affects electronics like headsets. 2) If you use it in the car and the magnetic cable gets dropped on the floor it can pickup tiny little magnetic rocks which then get stuck in the connector and which are then nearly impossible to remove. I was shocked that I would have magnetic rocks in the car, but sure enough super tiny dirt and grit particles on the floor mat in the car are evidently magnetic.

Easy one hand charging
I cannot live without these charging cables. Ive been using these for years primarily for cell phone charging. They allow me to connect the cable to my device single handedly due to magnets on the end of the cable. I appreciate the blue light notifying me that I have good connection. I recently needed to purchase these rectangular shaped ones to fit my new cell phone fold 7 with a case. Prior, I was using the round tip and seems the round ones have a stronger magnet whereas these rectangular ones can be easily detached. Still not preventing me to use these on a daily. I have them plugged and ready near my nightstand and I bought the shorter version for use in my car. Also comes with multiple tips and sizes to accommodate most devices. I highly recommend!

Great quality magnetic USB cables for all sorts of devices
One of my biggest frustrations for a real long time, especially with Micro USB devices is knowing which side of the cable I need to connect without looking at the device. This becomes even more annoying when attempting to do this at night, even with a USB-C cable. But now with these magnetic charging cables, I can easily attach the USB cable to my device without having to put too much effort into connect the cable. This especially comes in handy when I'm in the middle of gaming session, because this is usually when I'm not able to take my headset off to attach the USB cable and I need to charge it. These cables also work with fast charging USB ports for those devices that support fast charging like the Samsung Galaxy S20+. This comes with both the USB-C and Micro USB ends, making it easy to interchange what device you're charging. I'm seriously debating if I should buy more of these cables so I can have them easily available around the house, my car, and in the office.

USB-C is good, Micro-USB is not functional [UPDATED]
[UPDATE] After reciving the 3ft cables and connectors, the micro USB connectors worked (from the new pack). Looking closely it looked like the 5v and ground pins were recesses on the original connectors. I took a tiny screwdrive and lifted the pins GENTLY just a little bit and they worked. Adding 2 stars. Cables work great now. ------- Purchased 3x1ft cables, 3x3ft cables have already shipped. I purchased these because they offer USB-C and microUSB. The USB-C connectors work perfectly for data and charge. Unfortunately, the microUSB connectors dont seem to make any connection at all. I tried all 3 cable and all 3 microUSB connectors on multiple devices (Fire Tablets, headphones, raspberry pi) and no combination would even register power. On a good note, these are definitely sturdy. My LG G7 accepts the connector even with the bulky case (major plus) I can hang the phone from the connector so the neodymium magnets are definately strong enough. One word of advise, these are neodymium magnets. If they connect too fast, there is chance of cracking them. Just placing the connector near the port will 'self-align' and give a good connection. I saw other reviews and pictures about this and it is a common issue with ANY magnetic USB cables. (5 stars to the first company to address this) If you need microUSB, you may want to look for another option. For USB-C these are great. Unfortunately the microUSB was needed on my end with the USB-C just being a bonus. I will be returning all sets and looking for something that works. Overall [-4] - Item advertises microUSB and USB-C but only 1 works Durbility/Sturdiness [-1] - Like many magnetic connectors the connector can be easily bumpped out of place and unintentionally disconnected. It does lock back in though. A better guide piece on both ends would help with this. Easy to use [-0] - Plug in both ends and it works ... when it works...

Excellent for finicky micro-USB ports!
I originally bought this type of connection to solve a problem -- the micro-USB charging port on my daughter's Yoga Book wouldn't charge with any of our regular cords. When exploring that solution, I found these wonderful gadgets! Basically, you leave the port plugged. The little plug is magnetic and connects to the supplied cord very easily. The plug is handy for charging ports that have gotten a little loose or damaged, but it also is effective for keeping dirt out. If you have a hefty case on your device, the cover for that port may not close completely, but that hasn't bothered me. I also like to use it for our PS4 controllers so the kids aren't yanking the connections in and out. It's a great solution for those easy-to-break charging ports, and it's not limited to the micro-USB connections any more. It's easy to find the USB-C and the Apple lightning connections. One word of caution, and it's not really a negative as much as a warning: when trying to remove the plug, USE the provided plastic tool. If you try to dislodge it with other tools, you might break the plug. The provided tool works great!

Great solution for delicate connection ports on a mechanical keyboard
Cannot speak to how long a cable will last (before it gets lost), but I can tell you that these magnetic cables are fantastic and are my go to cables of choice for devices such as keyboards to prolong the life span of very delicate connection ports. In for another one or two cables.
