Cannibal Ferox [Blu-ray]

One has to appreciate that swinging disco soundtrack.Then the film rather sort of happens. Stupidly it stumbles on, ripping off Cannibal Holocaust, which also stumbled into being a much better film than I suspect they went out to do.There is a shadow of genius in this: the acting may be atrocious, but one understands the character motivations. How the cannibal tribe comes across as the good guys, even though they waste some innocents - they don't understand those foreigners that suddenly appeared, dealing death.I was expecting more gore, actually.

Bad acting, atrocious dubbing, poor dialogue and sickening gore makes for great viewing.

Banned in the early 1980s as a VIDEO NASTY .I thought I'd watch this and frighten myself to death ? Hmmm more like bore myself to death . This movie is total garbage .Only a bit of So called gore in it . The worse thing is the giant turtal that get carved up alive !In the 1980s we had the wonderful Mary Whitehouse who censored and hated everything she didn't like personally . But this movie must have been banned for being total crap rather than " HORRIBLE ' TERRIFYING ' SCARY ' BLAH BLAH BLAH ? " Seriously this film is as frightening as looking at yourself in a mirror .And don't be fooled by the cover painting as it's irrelevant to the movie .And as always with these cannibal movies there's always a good cannibal who saves the other cannibals dinner and allows some women to escape .When you've seen 1 cannibal film you've seen them all

Wanted it for my collection as so many films appear to be getting banned these days.

Excellent picture quality, shame there's not too many extras.

And not much good,though I've seen worse.
