Bacon Cheddar Chive Dip Mix

Description

Great on baked potatoes and baked potato skins! Also great as a flavorful vegetable, pretzel, and cracker dip. Makes a fabulous cheese ball! Bacon Cheddar Chive Dip Mix is more than just a dip. Use this versatile mix for baked potato topping, cheeseballs, or twice-baked potato skins. You can prepare it with sour cream and mayonnaise and serve it chilled for vegetables and crackers, or prepare it baked. Chilled Directions: Mix contents with 1 cup sour cream and ¾ cup mayonnaise. Chill for several hours for best flavor. Baked Directions: Blend 8 oz cream cheese, 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1 T lemon juice, 1 T melted butter, and 1/4 cup of cream. Fold in 1/2 cup of grated mozzarella cheese and dip mix. Bake in greased shallow baking dish at 375°F for 30 minutes or until edges are bubbling and golden brown. Add spinach, crab meat, or shrimp for variety. Cheese Ball Directions: Blend together three 8 ounce packages of cream cheese (at room temperature), two packages of your favorite Delectable Addictions gourmet dip mix, 1 cup of mayonnaise, 1 cup of cottage cheese, and 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Divide into three equal portions and form into round balls. Roll the balls in your favorite chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts, slivered almonds). Seal in plastic wrap and chill overnight (this allows the spices from the dip mix to infuse into the cheese). Remove the plastic wrap and let warm for about an hour before serving. Serve with crackers, chips, or toasted artisan bread. It is best to slice with a knife and spread rather that dipping directly into the cheese ball.
