first rate
The clutch kit arrived on schedule and was in good condition. The kit was complete with all arts and an alignment tool included. The installation was straight forward with no issues other than on a 5vz engine the clutch springs go toward the flywheel per the Toyota service manual. To date I have put about 500 mile on the clutch. The application and release is smooth and quietI would definitly buy this clutch kit again if ever needed.

Make sure to check the factory service manual if you have a 3.4
If you have a V6 3.4l make sure you check the Toyota Factory Service Manual before installing. Aisin marks one side of the clutch disc T/M, and that side goes toward the transmission on most vehicles, but NOT on the V6 3.4. On those, the T/M side goes toward the flywheel!! The Factory Service Manual, and many threads on Tacoma and 4runner forums will confirm this.Aisin needs to do better, and provide this information with the kit. This is probably a 5 star kit but I give it 3 stars for this glaring omission that caused me to have to do the job twice. The attached picture is from the FSM for my vehicle, showing the protruding side goes toward the flywheel on my 4runner. This is the side Aisin erroneously marks T/M.Don't trust me, check your FSM.

Not OEM replacement
Installed a year ago, going to have to drop transmission again due to annoying rattle that has developed. NOT a Toyota OEM replacement.Update: the annoying rattle, was a broken clutch spring. For this price and label (OEM replacement) I shouldn't have to replace it in less than one year. The stock one lasted 215k miles.

Different From Stock But Hopefully Works Just the Same
Seems like a fine clutch to me. I put this in a 2003 Toyota Tacoma with the 3.4L engine. Don't worry that Amazon doesn't say it will fit. Go to Aisin's website if you want to check if it would fit on your vehicle. It definitely is different then the stock Aisin clutch. The spring retainers in it are plastic unlike the stock one. Hopefully this won't cause problems. The clutch pictured here on Amazon looks a lot like the stock Aisin clutch I took out. Look on Aisin's website if you want to see a picture of what the actual clutch you receive looks like. Hopefully this clutch will last me a while. So far driving with a few hundred miles on it have been just fine. I will update this review if anything changes. One thing to note is that when installing the clutch disk make sure you place the T/M side towards the transmission. There is a stamp on the clutch showing you which direction this is. This is also the side that the springs "stick" out more. This is actually the opposite of how the stock clutch is. With the stock clutch the springs "stick" out towards the engine. I was about to place this one in that way but thankfully noticed the stamp and looked online to make sure T/M side meant the transmission. Otherwise everything else went smoothly. Make sure you get your flywheel resurfaced too. It's really easy to take off. It only cost $40 at a local machine shop. Call your local Toyota dealership and they will tell you where they send their flywheels to get machined. I was worried about the poor reviews on this clutch but I'm hoping Aisin won't let me down.

Good quality
Good quality item, I believe this is what Toyota uses as the OEM clutch. Those can easily last around 200,000 km. Too bad the kit I received seemed to have been opened before and was missing the pilot bearing, which I had to purchase separately.
