Biotin Vitamin Supplement 5000 mcg for Men & Women - Biotin Capsules for Hair Growth Support, Skin, & Nails, Non GMO, Gluten Free, Soy Free, Vegan - 120 Veg Caps

My husband has diagnosed idiopathic small fiber peripheral neuropathy. He's been dealing with it since 2010. There's a "supplement protocol" that supposedly significantly reduces neuropathy pain to a more tolerable level; this supplement is on that protocol. The person who put together "the protocol' researched the least expensive & researched the most effective supplements & this one falls into that category. There are approximately 8 - 12 supplements / elements & all require being taken as specified in order to achieve pain relief results. My husband received a similar but not exactly the same supplement regimen from an in-house chiropractic clinic nutritionist. He had to quit after 3 months or so because of travel time to the clinic, $500.00+ per month office visit & extremely unaffordable cost of the clinic's custom-label supplements. Neuropathy is a cash cow for chiropractors & pain management & pharmaceutical drug companies; sadly, the majority of the tine, they all fail at relieving the patient's nerve pain & often create more irreversible life shortening damage to the patient. Neuropathy is terrible & life changing. We think my husband got neuropathy from long term Statin use (cholesterol drugs) but we can't prove it and we are not sure if that's the case. Lots of pharmaceutical drugs are suspicious for having side effects of irrepairable painful nerve damage. The current supplement protocol is extremely more affordable. It calls for weaning off of all the horrible pharmaceutical drugs & pain killers. My husband has been on the protocol for approximately four weeks. He has not experienced any noticeable pain relief but we remain hopeful because doing otherwise is not an option.

I started taking one capsule about a month ago, and my thin spots in my hair have definitely improved! I’ve also been using Pura D’Or biotin shampoo every other day, so I’m not sure if that has any impact. But I plan to continue using both of these.

I'm giving 4 stars because it's probably a good product and does most people well. I take several medications, vitamins, and supplements. When I added Biotin, I started getting uncomfortable pains in my stomach so I had to discontinued using this product. Good luck

Best absorbable form of biotin for those of us especially trying to grow hair back longer faster!

Been taking this 10,000 mcg of Biotin for a few months now. The capsules are small and easy to swallow. It has definitely helped my hair and nails, but give it some time to work. You should start noticing a change after 60-90 days of taking the product.

I had a kidney transplant 4 months ago and unfortunately, one of the immunosuppressants has many side effects, one of them being hair loss. As a woman, this is devastating. My once thick hair has thinned significantly and I have really taken a hit to my self esteem. My transplant doctor gave me the OK to use biotin supplements and I chose this one. It's been about a month now and while my hair is still falling out, it seems to have slowed a bit. I don't know if that's related to the biotin or something else. What I have noticed is that my nails look beautiful - better than they have in years. They were thin, splitting and peeling and now they are incredibly strong, thick and hard. So I'm guessing if you are a normal, healthy person with thinning hair, this will probably help you. And in my experience, it's a miracle worker for your nails.

Not all biotin works, this one does and I'm on my second bottle. I mainly take it for my hair and nails. As menopause took over my life it caused my hair to thin severly, both my nails and hair have become dry and brittle do to hormonal changes. I originally was taking 2 capsules daily and I did this for a month with barely any changes. I upped my dose to 3 caps daily and yes I noticed another small difference. Did this alone work for my hair, no but because using biotin doesn't work, it does but my hormonal changes caused a need for HRT and in combination with bio identical hormones and dietary changes along with this brand of biotin my hair is getting healthier, thicker, stronger, and longer! And my nails are too!! I'll definitely be staying with this brand of biotin and hoping to grow back my full mane again. Side note: I take the 3 caps at once at night before bed. I've also taken this product in the day and I haven't ever experienced any stomach problems.

It didn't add volume on my hair but it's growing faster than normal. The chicken skin on my arms are gone too

I've really noticed some changes with my hair fall issues in just a matter of days. It depends from person to person. Depending on how your body takes it, some takes weeks or months but mine showed great results in less than 5 days. I also love that they're easy to swallow. I combine this with Vitamin C, Zinc and Vitamin D. So far no bad side-effects and I also noticed a slight glow on my skin.
