Grano Milano Variety Pack Coffee Capsules - 100 Pods Compatible with Nespresso Original line, Medium and Dark Roast, Espresso Coffee Capsules Made in Italy, (Packaging May Vary)

Like many of us in lockdown, my home nespresso consumption has significantly increased so I've been looking for nespresso pods that: a) taste good; b) don't sting my wallet; c) work in my machine (a worry reading across a lot of reviews of 'budget' pod options). Grano Milano have ticked all of those boxes for me after a couple of months of use. Do they work? These capsules work fine in my Krups nespresso machine; easy enough to close the lid, flow and that illusive 'crema' is good, perhaps a bit of extra run-off in the drip tray but that's manageable. Look? I was pleasently surprised by the quality of the box the capsules came in (almost gift-worthy), and while the vibrant primary and secondary colours of the capsules themselves are a bit brash vs. the sleak metallic finish of the Nespresso originals, I can live with that for almost a third of the cost. Flavour? If you're a connoisseur, Nespresso's own brand and the quality and variety on offer is still the benchmark, but at this price-point I've found the Grano Milano pods have a pleasant flavour with some clear differentiation between the different varieties in the range; the Crema is mild and smooth while the Supremo does have some rich chocolately notes

After looking around for a suitable Nespresso alternative I came across these. The reviews said that they were a viable alternative so I decided to give them a try The product is well presented in individual boxes that list all of the other products and show the colour/flavour and strength of each one. The capsules themselves are a good fit in my Nespresso machine and have a knurled/bobbled texture to them (the colours are also very catching). Each of the coffees i tried in this variety pack were all nice tasting, had a good crema but did not smell as strong as I would like (strange but it's something I look for). The supremo and ristretto were especially good 👌 The coffee itself, although not a replacement for Nespresso coffee in my eyes, is a valid alternative that could see you through to your next Nespresso order and is miles above the also/Asda/Tesco alternatives.

tried the Grano Milano pods over a year ago and was very pleased with the quality and value for money, Always one to look for a good deal but without loss of quality, I tried a number of other brands including the more established companies but none compared with the all round taste and aroma that you get from Grano Milano, I have had both the variety packs and the decaffeinated and can say that there is no loss in strength or flavour, have also noticed that the pods have recently been improved so are not only more vibrant but less likely to hang-ups in the machine. so once again great quality, great value but especially great taste.

Love this coffee it has some fruity notes they are all slightly different but it is really good coffee mind you all the coffee that I have purchased from Amazon have been great and they are good value but i shall probably try another one latter on but at the moment i really love this one and its good value

On the whole the coffee tastes ok with a solid 7/10. The problem is that in my experience, these pods don't work properly in my Nespresso machine. About fifty percent of the time only clear water comes out, or sometimes the pod releases 95% clear water then gives about 2ml of coffee right at the end. You then have to feed the pod back in and restart the coffee to get it to extract any. This isn't ideal at all because the coffee inside the pod at this point may be already wet. For this reason I can not recommend these pods.

Smooth.. These espresso capsules work perfectly in any original Nespresso machine. The “Crema” is the foam that rests on top of a freshly pulled shot of espresso. The Crema also reflects the freshness and quality of the coffee. With very subtle notes of chocolate, spice, citrus and nuts that can be found in various capsules depending accordingly, these are delicious. The best taste of any available and better than that the price. There’s nothing worse than a cheap espresso capsule that’s crap. This is the winner for flavor, freshness and price.

I am a big Nespresso fan and I have a Nespresso Essenza Mini machine. I have been looking for a more affordable option than the original Nespresso pods. I've tried a few brands so far, and I have to say that Grano Milano tastes even better than Nespresso! I got the variety pack and should say that most of them taste more towards the bitter side, but not acidic and burnt at all. Among all "Crema" is very smooth and velvety, while "Supreme" is extremely rich, which I love because the intensity makes it perfect for a cup of Americano. Also, I haven't had any issue with their sizes, it's perfectly compatible with my machine. Next, I want to order the decaf pods because I'm getting addicted to these pods and got to decrease my caffeine intake!

Good tasting coffee. It's not indicated, but seems like Arabica beans. I don't like Robusto, which some of these non-Nespresso brands are using to keep costs down, but not this one. I always make my coffee lungo, as I prefer that over espresso (in a cafe I would normally order an Americano). There is enough coffee in each of the pods to make a very flavourful lungo as far as my taste goes, even if some are packaged for use as espresso. I also drink my coffee black. I've bought this brand several times and it is consistently good. I will continue to purchase it.
