I have used many of these lights in closets and in a family room, The light is very bright and evenly distributed in the room. The light can sometimes be difficult to install and I have to add washers or spacers behind the bracket to allow the light to properly seat when pushed into its supporting bracket. Even with the extra work, I still like the light very much.

This LED fixture is very thin and stylish. It produces a lot of light for its size and does so evenly (no bright spots). The light looks really good on a low ceiling. The mounting system is "proprietary." The mount really needs a metal junction box centered above the fixture - it is not designed to be mounted to the ceiling itself: not mounted to the wallboard of the ceiling. I welded a couple of arm to the system's mounting ring in order to mount the light to the ceiling's wallboard (with anchors) - a lot of extra work.

This fixture can only be installed in certain ceiling electrical boxes as there is a portion of the fixture that extends into the box. This extension into the box conflict with wiring and is to wide for some boxes. The fixture snaps into a retainer ring mounted to the electrical box. The ring must be shimmed down from the ceiling to fit properly. Once installed it does not fit flat against the ceiling. This method probably looked good in design but was not tested sufficiently to create a functional, quick and easy installation. I was installing eight of these fixtures so I redesigned and modified the attachment. This is not likely in the realm of most consumers to tackle.

I love this light. Installed it over my kitchen sink and it’s just what I needed. You can adjust the intensity from the yellows to the blues. I recommend stopping at white in middle(4000). Goodbye to flourescent bulbs hello LED panels.

I purchased this from another site where it was rebranded as Ebern Designs, but this Maxim product is what arrived. It’s very minimal and puts out good light. The installation was quite simple, but check your electrical box before you order. It needs to be almost completely empty for the LED driver to fit within the box. If your box is stuffed full of wires and wire nuts, forget it. If the box flexes when you push on it, you’re gonna have a bad time. I replaced a ceiling fan with this, so the box was very rigid and it was quite easy for one person to install (two minutes). The fixture is supplied with a metal ring that screws to the box, and a clip is provided to hang the fixture from the ring while you make the electrical connections. The square driver has clips on each side that press into the metal ring. Just make room for the driver in the box and push the fixture in and that’s it. You can align the fixture once it’s pushed into place.
