Select Increments 91970K Centra-Pod with Kicker 5.25 Speakers

I bought this speaker pod to replace the front speakers in my 1992 YJ. The stock speakers have no box behind them and sound incredibly tinny. I tried replacing them with pioneer speakers and was not impressed with the results. This speaker box sounds way better and I didn't need to go through the headache of removing the dash again. I wish I went this way from the beginning. Speakers sound way better and are mounted out of the way on the floor. This came with nice kicker 5.25" speakers, polyfil, and 2 self tapping screws to attach to the floor. i ended up using my own speaker wire, I wanted to use 14 gauge wire.

1990 Jeep YJ. 5spd. This is a great sounding speaker set. I am truly amazed. I use this for mids and highs sound. This compliments my Rockville 10" 800w under seat sub very nicely. These 5.25" speakers have a great punch. I can't describe it. Kicker always made great products. You will not have regrets. Note I got the 5.25 version because I plan on installing Air Conditioning and I was fearful the the 6.5's would not clear. This looks like it will clear the AC control unit perfectly.

A real modular install with very little modification needed and was done in about an hour.

Could definitely be a bit cheaper. Other than that would recommend

This product is advertised as fits most CJs but doesn't state that it only fits at CJ-7! There is more room between the heater box and the defrost selector cable than the CJ-5 so I guess I'll find another location to mount this box. The description needs to change and I won't change my review here unless it does!

Fits perfect in any CJ. Sound is great even in a noisy old Jeep.
