So fun. Pull strings and the special string releases the candy!
My 18 year old is on the spectrum. She was having a birthday party for the autistic kids in her class. 7 showed up - a good turn out for a special ed function. I was so concerned about a regular pinata. Sticks swinging with autistic kids is not a good situation. Someone is going to get hurt and start crying. Then I found this. Each kid gets to pull a string, and when you pull the right one the candy falls out. I went to Costco and bought a huge bad of candy for $14. The darth vader head opens in the bottom so you can fill it up with candy. It was easy to do and took almost the entire bag. The kids were super excited and it worked like a charm. They all fought over who got to take the empty darth vader head home after the party so we had to draw straws. A huge hit (actually no hitting!). Love it.

Good piñata. Looks great
Good piñata. Looks great. You're supposed to pull the strings, but we whacked it with a stick and it broke apart just fine

My daughter loved it. I like that you can pull the ribbon to release the contents. It was a little pricey for cardboard and tissue paper, but since I didn't have to make it myself, I certainly appreciated it. It was a big hit at my daughter's party.

Very strong and looks great
Worked great. This was perfect for my 6 yr old. I let them whack it with a whiffle ball bat that I spray painted to look like a light saber. Every kid got a few hits in before one older kid hit it so hard the hook ripped out of the top. Then I just held it up and let each one pull a string until the candy cane out. Even after that beating it still is in great shape so we saved it as a decoration in his room.

Flimsy
This piñata looks neat but is extremely flimsy. I’ve made my own piñata out of cardboard and duct tape that was much more durable. It was disappointing for many children looking forward to having a whack at it. It unfortunately only lasted a few young children, so most of the kids didn’t get a chance to hit it. Not worth the purchase, especially for the high price. I recommend making your own!

It was awesome, perfect size
It was awesome, perfect size. We used this for a grown-up party. Stuffed it with Mexican candy. It actually held up pretty good while about 8 different people took turns swinging at it. Some of us even went twice. Definitely recommend.

It's OK, but not EPIC
I ordered the Darth Vader Star Wars Pinata, Pull String after 12 noon on August 22nd and it arrived before 10 AM on Aug 24th. I paid $18.88. It came well packaged and intact. See the first picture below. It is flimsier than a Darth Vader pinata I had bought from a local store last year -- however it is also less expensive and it certainly will do what I bought it to do. I had planned to let the kids (ages 4-12) hit it, but now I wonder if that's a good idea due to its lighter construction. To be fair, perhaps pull string pinatas need to be lightweight. It comes with only 9 ribbons to act as pull-strings and I have approximately 20 kids at this party, so I am thinking about what to do about not everyone having a turn. However some pinatas DO open at the very first strike of a bat, so maybe it's not really an issue. The pinata I purchased was listed as being 18 inches X 18 inches. This product is somewhat smaller than the stated dimensions. It stands 15 and a half inches tall from it's base to the tip of Darth's helmet. It's 16 inches in length (shoulder to shoulder) with the shoulders measuring approximately 5 inches wide on each side. I took away one star because of the inaccuracy in advertising. It is large enough to hold several bags of candy. I posted the second picture below of Darth next to a Jenga block to show its size relative to candy. It has a black tissue paper cape that hides the hole used to load the candy which I thought was a nice touch. You do need to realize that the press here sticker is on the cape though! See the 3rd and 4th pictures below. Pick up the cape and find the hollow spot and push there--don't rip through the cape! Please note the face and anything else "shiny" in picture 2 is not designed with crepe, but rather with a photo that's been glued down. This makes the face MUCH lighter in apperence than I expected from the picture of the product. Please compare the 2nd picture to the 5th picture--which is a screenshot from Amazon's listing of the product. My Darth Vader's face is lighter and more coppery than the product pictured online at the time of my purchase. I took away another star because of that.Pros:Fast DeliveryIntactFunctionalHidden Candy Filler HoleCons:Smaller than AdvertisedLightweightAppearance of Darth's face is lighter than product's pictureOverall recommendation:It's a usable product at a lower price than what I had available in brick-and-mortar stores in my area. It works well with the Star Wars theme, will hold lots of candy, and then it will be ripped open and thrown away. I do have time to send it back--but I don't have other affordable alternatives, so I am keeping it.

It looked like the piñata was in ok condition
Box was beaten up on arrival. It looked like the piñata was in ok condition. We filled the body part with candy and it attaches the the head. It was a party for 4 year olds and it only took about 5 baby swings and the body detached from the head and fell on the ground. We were then left unable to use the piñata because we had an empty hanging head with a bid shaped body lying on the ground full of candy. Terrible piñata.
