Snowy Owl: A Visual Natural History

Beautiful photography and informative.

The book is so outstanding and stunning and beautiful, especially knowing that a Snowy Owl spent time on a home in Queen Anne in Seattle, and we got to see it. Unfortunately, when I opened the box, the gorgeous book was not even in a wrapper, or protective cover and is permanently marred on the lovely dustcover. Managed to wipe off some of the markings, but the others are there to stay. it is the first and only item ever ordered from Amazon after all this time, that arrived in less than guaranteed, ordered condition. it won't be returned. the resources used for that will go to a more positive event. Thank you.

The book is one of the Greatest books i read on Owls. The pictures are beautiful and the writing on the Owls of there behavior is amazing.

Beautiful photography...stunning!

I am a wildlife biologist and an amateur wildlife photographer. I found myself drawn into this book by Bannick’s stunning photography and weaving of personal experiences in the field photographing Snowy Owls with natural history information. At times, you may feel as if you are right there with Bannick in the field watching the lives of North America’s Snowy Owls unfold. Absolutely beautiful book, and, as a former field ecologist, very much enjoyed reading about Bannick’s extensive field experience photographing this species. And if you like this book, he has another on Great Gray Owls!

I've been wanting this book forever and finally I bit the bullet and got it and it was worth the wait......the images and everything on the Snowy Owl was stupendous and breath-taking!! I loved it :)

The pictures were fantastic. Coupled with easy to read text and this is the perfect book on Snowy Owls.Written for the average reader, not the scientist or the beginner. Informative yet interesting writing.

The text was mainly anecdotal with little reference to the extensive scientific literature.
