Moultrie MFG-13381 55-Gallon NXT Tripod

Had to give this 4 stars because there had been a couple times the spinner stuck. I thought with the quick reverse it was to prevent this. The feeder is really simple at programming. Just wish the legs were longer to get it higher and wish the feed would spread out further. The circumference isn’t too large.

The feeder was delivered in what appeared to be perfect condition, no scratches or dents from shipping.I opened the lid and found the support legs bent in half and missing three legs. Called Moultrie customer service explained the legs were bent and missing some. The rep told me I need to complete a warranty claim on the Moultrie website and the new legs would be shipped in 2-4 weeks.After explaining again the feeder arrived in this condition and I would like the legs shipped so I can use it was told that is not a possibility. I was leaving in three days to take the feeder to the location I needed to setup (3 hour drive). Unable to wait a long period of time to simply have 4 legs shipped to me so I can use the product.The reason for one star is it is clear this is not a quality product with the accessories I ordered including a solar panel. The instructions state to mount the solar panel under the motor which made the motor crooked. Also the solar panel is all plastic I don't expect to get more than a few months out of it so cheap and flimsy.Moultrie, please make an effort to improve the quality of your products and customer service.Edit: After two weeks of using the solar panel broke off and not useable. Motor seems to be doing ok.

The instructions contain old information for previous models, so I was confused at first. But the process is so simple, it was a no brainer even if the packaging did not include up-to-date information. I set it up yesterday and tested it, and waited for it to automatically dispense its first feeding. It worked well. It seems very sturdy, and love it so far. But it is early, I'll update my review after a few weeks of using it. I liked the fact that you can program it to let you know how many days of feed is remaining. I put in 200 lbs of corn, dispensing 2 times in the day for three seconds each (the default is 4 seconds), and at that rate ,it will last 114 days according to the readout on the controller. I may change the amount dispensed as I experiment. I set up a camera to observe it the next few weeks. We'll see how it goes. I'm excited to see how it works!

Product came damaged. Would not purchase again.
