War for Independence (Chester the Crab's Comics with Content Series)

I was hoping this would be as good as the WWI and WWII books but I was disappointed a bit by the focus of the chapters. There are only 4 chapters, and one whole chapter was devoted to women in the war . . . I know women were important, but there were so many important and critical battles that would have warranted more focus. It just seemed a little SJW to me. I'll still buy other books in the series, maybe the author could write another book covering the spies in the war (think "Turn"), or other important battles.

Isn't what I accepted

As a teacher, I LOVE having these comics in the classroom as a resource. The kids want to read them because they are comics, and they "accidentally" end up learning a whole lot of history along the way. The fifth graders I have now seem to really enjoy the little crab characterLove the teaching resources that accompany each comic. Love that difficult words are explained. Love having visual representations to make history come alive for kids.In summary: love, love love!

Received as expected and in good quality

We bought War for Independence, Revolutionary Rumblings & Constitution Construction as a 'go along' to a unit study. My kids & I love them! We have bought many more since our first order. I love they have study guides to print out for almost all the comic books. Thank you Bentley Boyd for making learning fun!

Great supplement to use in classroom.

My son has read the Bentley Ford books several times.

All of Bentley Boyd's books are wonderful. I have bought all of them and donated them to the library and have a set at home. What a wonderful resource! What an interesting way for people to learn information.
