Solid
Excellent mag base, and without the annoying , wiggly fine adjustment by the indicator . This one has the fine adjustment down at the bottom, which doesn't have any wiggle or play in it or get in the way like the other type. It locks nice and solid and sticks well. Very high quality.

Works great!
I used this NOGA MG10533 Heavy Duty Holder with a Fowler 52-520-110-0 dial indicator and it worked very well to check endplay during my transmission rebuild.

Superior!
Wow! What a difference between the Cheepo holder I had that constantly leaked oil compared to this! Beautiful manufacturing and design. Extremely flexible but solid when tightened. Should have gotten a long time ago.Two comments to Nago: Why is there a very slight teeter when placed on my granite face plate? If the bottom is ground it should be close to perfectly flat.My indicator mount is exactly 0.375 inch (3/8”). Why do I have to almost use pliers to tighten the holder knob to just barely clamp the indicator?

Way above my pay grade!
This thing is so far above my pay grade it's ridiculous. It's incredibly rigid, easy to set up, tightens with a single knob, and the base is strong. Now it's easy to make measurements with my tenths indicator. Even though I'm not a serious machinist, this was worth every penny.

Noga top quality and excellent engineering design.
The best out there. I never realized how easy to adjust and stably hold indicators when locked down as compared to other instrument holders. Magnet very strong keeping arm in place. So much easier to position dial indicator as compared to 'bar' type arms that I also have. I also got the smaller Noga NF61003 holder to compliment this medium sized arm.

Very good. Adjustment on the base.
Very high quality. Box is dodgy, but I bought an indicator base, not a box. This is a very good product with the adjustment on the base rather than on the arm. It’s a good design for lathe work.

Had to wrestle it into submission and now it's my bitch
I bought this real deal over the imported copy, and I expected better. 175 pounds– on what planet?! It had sharp edges, unbroken corners, and the clamp thumbwheel had surface rust on the knurled portion. The clamp was incapable of clamping to a shoulder screw that was .371" That was only .004" undersize, Ridiculous! I had to drag a hacksaw blade through the crack backwards to widen the gap by the amount of the set of the teeth to make it work for me. Fortunately (or unfortunately), the clamp metal was soft as butter. Now, when I clamp the 3/8" shoulder screw, I really have to crank on the REALLY SHARP 4mm thumbscrew with my soft girly hands. Then, when I want to switch to the dovetail, I need to pry it apart a little with a screwdriver. The indicator clamp is just crap, it just does a dovetail on the end and a 3/8" rod through the side. Noga makes a more versatile clamp, but for sixty some dollars with shipping, I'll just deal with this while cursing under my breath.Edit: I made a new 3/8" rod for my dial indicator from a dowel pin. It was extremely hard and I had to normalize it. It was extremely cold and bright outside so it might have been more of a tempering, but now it was just soft enough to face, drill, and tap (for a long 10-32 setscrew to fit my B&S indicator with integral "thumbnut"). This one is .3745" and doesn't require cranking so hard on the clamp, and the dovetail also fits without prying. No more cursing– well, about the clamp anyway. So basically, after screwing with it for a couple of hours, I like it very much.
