Been wet shaving since I was 14 (almost 54 now) taught by my father on Williams. I was looking for a low cost replacement for Williams since it has been discontinued and stumbled across this one. First shave I lathered with a brush holding the soap in my palm figuring it would be like the rest of the low cost soaps I've tried over the last year that would be thrown in the trash after the first pass. Made it through 3 passes with a Schick M1 injector on #5 setting. Decided to throw it into my "Soap Test" that has to be passed to get into my rotation. I have all the artisan soaps and staples like Arko, Golden Hand, Derby etc. So far I've ran it through 3 pass shaves with the M1, Gillette Slim (on #5), Rolls Razor, Straight Razor, Gem Clog Proof, Darwin Hollow ground safety, and a JA Henckels Rapide. Soap passed all tests with flying colors and smells great! Much better smell than Williams, Arko, and Derby.Pros: Lather is GREAT, slick, and lasting. Smells Great, and cleans up extremely easy.Cons: Wish it was round. Took a hint from someone's review and cut off the corners to fit a mug, shoved corners into voids, heated with hair drier and molded to the bottom. Not much effort but would have given 5 stars if I could have just dropped it into a shave mug.

So, I’ve been using a decent NZ brand for a few years now, but due to rising prices and not loving it, I tried this one after a lot of research I to the option out there. This one was affordable and checked all the right boxes of being natural and being zero waste in a cardboard box with no plastic or petro chemicals. I was due for a shave the day it arrive and gave it a shot. It was a “WOW” moment. It’s so smooth and moisturizing. The bar rubbed onto my wet face easily and it lathered up well. The shave blade slid thru it easily and I can say with absolute certainty, it’s better than any can of foam or jar and brush I’ve ever tried. Really a big fan and think this bar will last me years. I’ve now been using it for at least a half dozen shaves and you can barely see that it’s been used, and I have a heavy beard.Strongly recommend!

Good news and bad news about this soap. Bad news first. I don’t get much lather from this. Granted, I don’t have a shaving brush, but the description claims you don’t need one. I am able to shave with it, but it’s not that different than shaving with a regular bar of soap.Here’s the good news. First, it has a lovely pleasant fragrance. I don’t know if it’s a patchouli note I’m getting, but it’s something I associate with an artisanal soap section of a store like Whole Foods. Very pleasant. Like, walk-around-smelling-your-hands pleasant. Second, this soap lasts absolutely forever. The melt is slow; it’s a hard bar and you can get a good hand wash and barely dent the thing.So, on the whole, maybe not the best shaving soap around, but as a hand soap it’s excellent.

I have been shaving with a brush and shaving soap for thirty years and my wife's friend has introduced us to all natural & vegan products from natrulo instead of using the popular shaving foam creams full of chemicals found in the store. I have tried a few more expensive kinds of these hard soap pucks but they all about smell or some other gimmick. With Natrulo shaving soap bar I always get a great amount of lather which leads to a great shave.The other great thing about shaving soap, using hot water, you get a warm soap on your face, that helps the razor glide across your face without any harshness and doesn’t leave any irritation. The soap is all natural that even my wife prefers to use my bar also

I have been wet shaving for a few years now and have tried many different soaps. This soap is OK. I did find making a lather with this more work than with some other soaps. Especially the tallow based ones like "Arko" and "Derby." The lather also seemed to dissipate on my face rather quickly. My biggest concern is the slick residue it would leave on the handle of my razor. Making it hard to grip while shaving. For the record I use an "Edwin Jagger DE 89" razor with a textured handle and have never had a problem gripping the handle while using any other soap. So for now it is back to "Arko" and "Derby" for me.

Best shave soap I have ever used. Lathers nice and thick. close shave and good price. Couldn't ask for more.

Wasn't sure how this soap was going to be. But presently surprised how good it is. Smells of vintage soaps but it lathers up great! Great value for price..

I have bad allergies when using any type of shaving cream, I get nasal congestion and as of yet I haven't found one product that doesn't kick up my allergies including this one.
