Best Gloves I Own
I use these primarily for hunting in NH and ME during the winter. Recently, I also use them on duty in uniform as a cop. For the latter purpose, I wish they came in black, but that's life. My hands are warm on duty and in the woods. On extremely cold days (below zero Fahrenheit) I have to augment with an additional thin wool liner or just use woolen mittens, but for most of my hunting and duty needs, that is not necessary. Plus they're tough enough to weather the brambles, branches, ice, snow, blackberry thorns, etc of the norther New England woods. And I can still access and manipulate my weapon with ease. On a recent hunt, my son was wearing expensive insulated Gore-Tex hunting gloves of a completely different make, and his hands were freezing. I let him use my gloves and he could not believe the difference. "It's like I'm wearing little heat factories on my hands, Dad!" Water and snow resistance is typical of what you would expect from wool gloves. Not perfect, but good enough to be able to shake off the snow and ice before it penetrates. Rain sheds within reason. I've been searching for tough and warm wool gloves for years, and these are the best I've found. Just ordered a couple more pairs for backups and to keep in my truck. You can't go wrong with these. The only improvement I can think of would be to add a leather palm to make handling items like a shovel or gun stock with a better grip. I'm sure that would add to the cost, but it would be worth it.

Nice gloves.
They're form-fitting enough as to not be uncomfortable when trying to get something out of your pocket, yet still thick enough to be super warm. The material feels nice and the color is subtle and works with just about anything. While I've only had my pair for a little over a week they feel as though they have a good build quality to them and will last me a long time.

These gloves fit great and after wearing them for two days while it's ...
Ordered before reading any reviews. After reading the reviews I was wondering exactly what I was going to get. There were a lot of comments about the fit being tight or too small for the size that the gloves should have been. There were also comments about the weave of the wool exterior being loose. I checked out the gloves very closely before I ever removed any tags and tried both of them on. These gloves fit great and after wearing them for two days while it's been windy and the wind chill has been 6 to 10 degrees I can say that they fit great and are very warm. I did find one spot where I can see through the weave but it is minute and I can't see it being a problem, but that is why I gave it four stars. They are almost an O.D. green just like the picture. So, to sum it up I got exactly what I ordered, they fit like they should, they are the color shown and I think they are worth the price. Also they are very warm.

Size issue
I needed an XL glove at a minimum, if not a XXL. I didn’t realize I was buying a pair of gloves that only came in large so when they arrived, needless to say, they were too small. Otherwise they were just what I was looking for.

Pure trash
the thumb of the left glove is only slightly over an inch long, and even though I have hands that usually fit into a Medium glove, these larges would not even cover much past my first thumb knuckle. The wool is so thin, that you can literally see right through it to the liner in multiple spots. These gloves aren't worth getting, even if they were free.

Buy, wait for sale.
I had them for a couple of months now, no problems expect its a little small. I've used them in - 20 and it kept me warm enough from point A to B. The colour is lighter than the shown but not a deal breaker

Warm.
Warm but not as warm as the last pair of wool gloves I purchased. I would buy them again for sure though, the polyester lining is a nice touch to keep the wool feeling off your hands. No issues with fraying over this last winter and decently light so they can be used for camping and hiking.
