A vulnerable account of learning to trust God. Highly recommend!
I highly recommend “Eye of the Storm.” Ryan Stevenson bravely takes you along on his journey from a small country town in Southern Oregon (Go Antlers!) to realizing his dream of having a ministry in music. “Eye of the Storm” is not a tale of your picture-perfect Christian musician walking out a dream come true, but a vulnerable outpouring of his heart. You will laugh with him at the tomfoolery of his youth, rejoice with him on his breakthroughs and success, wonder and shake your head when he missteps, and cry with him as he shares his losses. The book gives you a close-up account of the ups and downs that inspired the hit song of the same name. But ultimately, Ryan will gently point you back to the one who is in control when nothing else is. This may seem easy for a man whose job is to share this message to the masses through his music, but through the “Eye of the Storm” Ryan will courageously share how this is easy to do for the head, but not the heart. Even for people who have stumbled after Christ since their youth.Thank you, Ryan, for bravely sharing what many Christians fear to share: our losses, our failures, and our doubts, and how the God of creation loves us anyway without strings.

Inspirational and Uplifting...
Ryan’s book was one in which he poured his heart into! It provided so much encouragement to just believe and trust in God's plan for each one of us. That through each trial and heartbreak that we can learn and grow from those experiences. Through this book, I can see that Ryan writes his songs through sharing his own experiences and what God has placed on his heart. It was an honor to read about what Ryan has endured and persevered through in bringing him to where he is now. In the book when he shares about being at a point where he didn’t feel like God was there for him. I strongly connected with this in particular because each of us has felt as though we are fighting through our struggles and pain alone. This book is a solid reminder of God's love for us and it is in those moments that we don't see his footprints beside us because he is carrying us with his guidance. The book is definitely one that is hard to put down once you start reading. Overall the book is uplifting and I applaud Ryan for sharing his story while being completely transparent.

Must read book!
I've known of Ryan Stevenson through mutual friends and saw the launch of his career from a band at church to a nationally known artist. It's awesome to be able to read about what came before and the back story to his launch and the connections that wove through his life. From seeing Toby Mac on stage as a teenager to touring with him and being on the same record label. What a God thing!More of us need to listen to that still, small voice of God and follow our dreams. Learn from our wrong turns and know there is always a way back & forward.Love hearing the heart in Ryan's songs and the connections to real life. His book writing style is as terrific as his song writing. Keep dreaming and singing! And for the rest of you . . . Order the book! Well worth it!

Balm for a weary soul!
Ryan’s song, “Eye of the Storm” ministered to me greatly after I lost my 19 year old son. When I saw that he had written a book, I knew that I had to read it. I am so glad that I did! He is so very real and honest about his struggles, and that is what this world needs more of. Thank you Ryan for sharing a piece of your heart with us.

Feel God’s Love
Ryan Stevenson bares his soul in this book. The vulnerability allowed me to see myself, perfectly imperfect. God’s Grace is felt over and over and reminds me that I too am also loved.

Transparent, heartfelt and inspirational
I once heard the book of Acts described as a preface for the Church Age. The point was that every believer would write their own book of acts. Ryan's music is powerful, so it should come as no surprise that he is a great storyteller. You never know what is going on in someone else's life, and it moved my heart that he struggled with self-image as a youth in my hometown. I would move heaven and earth to make his and any other Bonanza youth's experience less painful, but through the pain we grow and become who we are meant to be. Ryan has listened to the "still, small voice" and it has made a difference in his life. Hopefully, others will be encouraged through his story. I've given away two copies already and am looking forward to the holiday season to share more.

His songs are just a part of his powerful story
This is the first book I’ve read in a long time that I couldn’t put down, and can’t wait to read again. Ryan is open, vulnerable, completely authentic and genuine in his writing. I was moved by his unwavering faith and love for God through all the hills and valleys of his life thus far. This book is written story by story, so it’s easy to read in small increments if you’re short on time, or all at once if you’ve got some time to relax and read. In a world where it feels like negativity is taking over, Ryan has used the light of his faith and the power of his writing to show us that through the darkest times in our lives, if we keep our eyes on God, He will bring us through the storm.
