Yes. These are the shorts you've been looking for. That is, if you've been looking for comfortable, hardy, functional, long lasting, easy-to-clean, and classic looking shorts. I can't imagine not owning a pair (or 4 pairs for that matter) of these because they are so useful. They look like a classic pair of khaki shorts (or whatever color you want) but you can do anything in them because they're not going to rip, tear, stain, or become soaked in sweat. In one day, you can go to class, jump in a lake, do yard work, and then go out to eat, ALL IN THE SAME SHORTS. They dry in 5 minutes. Mud, grass stains, wine, blood, toothpaste, etc. All of these wash out and off with the short scrub of a wet towel. I wear these shorts for days before washing them. They stay clean and dry. On top of all of that, they look awesome, come in a variety of colors, and they are in style. They are the most versatile shorts on the market.Fit:I am 6’2” 170 lbs with a 32 waist. I can wear a medium 6” inseam comfortably, but they they can be a little short for my long legs at times. The medium 8” is a little baggy around my thighs though. I have found that the small 8” inseam is the best fit. They’re long enough but not too long (abt 1.5-2” above the knee), and they fit nicely around my waist and thighs. Note: I cut the net out. They’re more comfy that way.

I have been purchasing these Columbia Backcast water shorts for the last .......15-20 years ?For boating, swimming, SCUBA diving, travelling, gardening......this is my "GO TO" pair of shorts!!Plain and simple: THEY ARE THE BEST!Some of my shorts are at least 5 years old and are still going strong, and this in the Florida sun, swimming in saltwater and also chlorinated pools.The weak spot is the elastic waistband and subsequently the netting inside, but they only fail after years and years of washing and drying them.I especially love them since they dry very fast and are not STUPID long.This is my ...... 6th order?By the way: I'm 6' 02, 200 Lbs and in relatively good shape.I find that the M (Medium) fits me just PERFECT for all my activities.Enough said.

These shorts are amazing, they dry quickly so are great for hiking or swimming. Very open and baggy so even if you are super muscled or packing a little extra insulation you will be free to move as long as you get the right waist size. There is an elasic waist retention part as well as drawstring and belt loops. I cut out the mesh liner and wear boxers or quick dry underwear. Very sturdy material with ample pockets. When swimming the pockets don't catch much water like some other shorts might.

These are great swim trunks and also great to wear as shorts. They are super lightweight and comfortable. They dry incredibly fast and my husband loves to wear them during the summertime since they breathe very well and aren't heavy. He also loves to take it traveling on vacation because it packs light and he can wash it in the hotel and it will dry super quick without looking wrinkly. He also loves wearing these camping for the same reasons. It gives good movement and the elastic waistband is very comfortable. The shorts fit as expected but it's very wide and baggy so it looks big, if that makes sense.

I was torn between splurging the extra 30+ (!) dollars to upgrade to patagonia baggies, but decided against it and am completely satisfied nontheless. It took a few tries to get the right size, though: I'm 6'2, 205lbs and usually buy a 32 waist but with athletic shorts and the like the often have to size up. I strongly advise against sizing up, the mediums fit perfectly on me and the 6'' inseam is a nice length to get those cooling breezes wafting up into the nether regions.Though they are marketed as "water shorts" which I take to mean a fancy word for "swin suit" I just wear them as normal shorts. I cut out the inner lining and wear them with boxers on hot days, they don't get sweaty or worn out like cotton shorts do and are nice and lightweight without feeling too flimsy. My only complaint is that the pockets are a bit too big in that if I put something too heavy (i.e. phone or keys + headphones case) they get mighty close to peeking out underneath the bottom of the shorts and really have no business being that large to begin with. Zipper pocket on the back means I can keep my wallet back there and have it feel secure, too which is a ncie plus.Do note that these shorts are a little on the baggy side, which actually I prefer because I have quads on the larger side from squats and these allow for plenty of movement. I recently decided to buy a few more pairs based on how much I liked my first and these are almost certainly going to be my go-to summer legwear for quite a while.

I wish there was a left hip pocket! That would make these shorts perfect ! Yes you can see that I have way too many pairs!

I love these pants. Borrowed a pair from a buddy of mine which had the lining cut out. I worked at a summer camp in southern Missouri for 3 months and these pants fit the bill for literally every activity I had. I worked on the high ropes course (no shade), life guarded at the pool (no shade/potential for getting wet), set up rec activities (durable and fit held up), and led general camp activities. The sweat level was real and so were these shorts. They were incredibly well ventilated. Lining provided, some days I would for-go the underwear and I managed to get by without any chaffing. If you work at a summer camp, I would HIGHLY recommend you get these shorts. The versatility gets a 10/10.

These are high quality swimming/exercise shorts. The only problem is that they are huge. If you regularly buy large size shorts, then order the medium. If your normal size is medium, go for the small one. If you are used to wearing size small, then you may wish to look at a different brand, as Columbia's small is going to be too large for you, and they don't have an extra-small size (or anything for a thin/petite person in general).

Excelente pantalón, que se pude utilizar de bañador perfectamente y de secado bastante rápido, en cuanto al tallaje hay que tener en cuenta que este pantalón talla muy grande, yo utilizo normalmente una talla L, y en este modelo con una talla S, me queda perfectamente.

Buena calidad, seca muy rápido y es muy comodo.La talla XL es mas grande que la estandar, recomiendo pedir una talla menos, ademas la cintura tiene goma y se ajusta bien.

Excelente articulo, las tallas estan bien, solo tienen que fijarse del largo 6” (arriba de la rodilla), la tela se seca rapido, tienen varias bolsas (una con cierre)

Excellent swimming shorts. It's comfortable, has netting inside of it and also has pockets.The size I ordered was perfect for me and the price (19.20€) was a good surprise.
