Durable Hood
These seem to hold up better than the genuine Weinmann or DiaCompe hoods over time. If you ride a lot in all weather conditions, these are the ones you want!

Take your time and they won't rip.
Read the reviews about them ripping during installation. So I used a soapy solution to wet them and the brake unit. They slipped on without issues.

Good Product, My Fault
Okay, so my bike is a 36-year-old road bike. The product I bought is actually for more modern bicycle brakes. I forced them on, and they look good, but they don't fit quite right. However, I can't give a bad review for a product that I incorrectly purchased. They are high quality.

Reinforce the seam underneath!
Didn't even get done building the bike and these garbage hoods tore.Should be getting a pair for free. I'm also aware that these should be cut to allow for brake lever travel. However they shouldn't tear before I even got to cutting them.

Lost of money and time
I have decades of experience working with bicycles. Despite taking all the precautions such as dipping the boots in dish soap, one of them broke with the slightest effort.

Best Non-Aero Hoods for Vintage Bicycles
These Dia-Compe Cane Creek non-Aero hoods fit easily to my 40 year Superb brake levers. While the fit was understandably not perfect but it was close enough (see photo of the restored bike above). I had to make a small cut to enlarge the hood at the bottom to allow for easier operation of the brake levers but other than this, the hood went on easily and best of all, looks great on my old road racer. I purchased another set but in Black for my other road racer of the same vintage and will include photo of that in a separate review.
