Hellsing Ultimate - Volume 1-10 Complete Collection [Blu-ray]

This is hands down a MUST-WATCH. "Hellsing" will WIPE AWAY the poisoned idea of what a VAMPIRE is that movies like Twilight have brought flooding the mainstream. The ONLY, and I MEAN ONLY, thing, holding "Alucard" back from eviscerating all life on earth is his respect for the grand-daughter of the mortal man who bested him ages ago. Alucard respects only ONE thing - A true human. And even that bond is quite shaky. Action, gore, maturity, music, swag - this has it all will while simultaneously championing the power we "should" have as human beings. And it has blood. Lots and lots of blood - not like a few puffs of blood like in Elfen Lied...I mean BUCKETS OF BLOOD. Its like the movie Boondock Saints and Dracula had a love child.This is the CLASSIC/ORIGINAL version of the anime. It was completed BEFORE the Manga was even finished and the whole second half of it deviates from what you would read in the Manga or see in the Hellsing: Ultimate series. This WORKS, because the characters stay true to themselves. If you're like me and need things to make some chronological sense in your head- I just view the second half of this series as taking place before the second half of Hellsing:Ultimate! Its like we get to kick back and watch the Hellsing Organization tackle one of their more difficult tasks before we dive into what happens in Ultimate.THE MUSICAL SCORE is amazing. Its like a swaggerlicious bluesy vibe with random Godzilla sounds and Silent Hill creepy horror rifts thrown in. The VOICE acting is GREAT! Crispin Freeman did an AMAZING job as Alucard.Its got an old-school gritty feel like Genocyber. I LOVE IT! It is particularly VICIOUS in certain scenes, and surprisingly adult/mature in others. It touches down and elaborates on certain vital pieces of backstory that the Ultimate version didn't. (And Ultimate hit on others that this one didn't.) I HIGHLY suggest you watch both this series and the Ultimate series to get the full Hellsing picture! (After you watch Ultimate, you can read the manga or watch the "Hellsing Abridged" fan-dub on YouTube which is hilarious.) ENJOY A REAL VAMPIRE STORY!

It came quickly and I’m happy I finally own this for blu ray

We did not see (because at the time the warning was one small bullet - much more defined now) that this would not work on US DVD players. We only discovered after we got it (and opened it) that it would not work. I contacted the buyer and he said he would take it back for a refund but I had to pay the shipping to send it back. I (my fault) did not see that he also would only take it back if it was unopened. So now I am out the cost of the DVD and the $12+ I had to pay to send back AND I have no DVD to try and sell to someone else since they kept it once I sent it back.

This show is not faithful to the manga. Its ending is rushed and a bit confused.The English voice acting is superb. This series doesn't take itself nearly as serious as Hellsing Ultimate. It's much more playful and not quite as dark (it's still plenty dark).If you know nothing about the manga and haven't been prejudiced by the remake, it's a really fun ride. I *HIGHLY* recommend watching the English dub. It's well voice acted and Japanese with a British accent isn't nearly as entertaining.

It works on my PS4 1tb system no problem. Looks absolutely amazing! One of my all time favorite animes! Admittedly I don't watch too many but what I love is the ability to do things in anime that you can't do in live action! This anime captures the build up to a great battle and what an amazing ending! This is right up there with Jigoku Shoujo Ninja Scroll and Samurai X for me!!!

You think it would work in a sony or something but nope. Why even sell in America if it wont work in most players. I was all excited since I thought it would work since most players are foreign. I suppose it’s just my mistake in the end 😭UPDATE: I bought a different player for it to work.
