Coarse grit pad worn quick, i do not need to buy the whole set of pads. Good stuff and worth the money.

I do not write many reviews but I was initiallyuncertain about buying these disks and backing plate to refinish my granite countertop based on what people said about the backing plate not securing the disks after a few uses. I took a chance and had no problems and changed to different disks many time during the hours of operation to fully restore my granite. I do not know how people are using the disks to cause them to not be secured to the backing plate but I used a Dewalt variable speed grinder/polisher to complete the job. I highly recommend this product if you want to refinish granite surfaces. When people say that the disks flew off they do not say how they were using them. I used the recommended speed called for in granite refinishing videos and had no problem and the disks last forever. I still have the original disks and backing plate they look great.

The grinding pads work wonderfully. Velcro was not glued onto the buffing pad very well. It flew off the first time using it. I was able to use some glue, and glued it back on.

The best sander ever

I am still using the 50 grit diamond pad and its still good. However, the backer pad fell apart. The rubber between the hook and loop began to crack apart and fly off in pieces until the hook and loop piece came completely off. I ordered two sets so I went to the second backer and the same thing began to happen. So in summary, diamond pads are performing well, but the backer is terrible.

I bought this item to get the scratches out of my granite countertop. The previous owners were not kind to it.This item generates white residue from the pad that gets impacted into any surface imperfections and won't wash away! My black granite now has ugly white highlights in every pinhole/facet!!!!Be aware that you will ruin your granite using these pads and have to buy a proper set to grind off the residue from these ones like I did.The 400 grit pad seemed to have been contaminated with lower grit particles because it generated some big "50 grit" scratches till i wore it in a bit. Had to work hard buff them out. Maybe these pads need to be broken in on a sacrificial surface like a concrete block first.To be fair, they do polish nicely and the residue may not be as visible on a lighter granite or light marble without facets.

I use these on my pottery to create a smooth bottom on mugs and other functional ware. Other pads that I have used cost 4 or more times the cost and these work just as well if not better. The selection of grits is also great. Will definitely recommend to other potters and when they need to be replaced will buy them again. The delivery was also incredibly fast.

I have purchased similar product before from a different manufacturer. The pads were good but the plastic arbour section broke. I gave this product 5 stars as it comes with an aluminum arbour which I expect will be much stronger.

Worked perfect for me. Must use and keep wet. Didn't long at all. Went up from 400 grit up to the 3000 grit, with no visible scratches at all. Amazing product for the money. Everyone must remember that this task isn't for the average person. You must have some hand skill and knowledge of how abrasives work.
