Normally I would use blanched ground almonds for macarons but I wanted to try a blend with pistachio. I'm going to try them in macarons anyway, as it may make little difference as they won't be the main ingredient. Buying ground nuts in the UK they are normally skinned first. For many things the skins (still attached to nut fragments) may make little difference. In some cases leaving skins on can be better because the nuts haven't been heat treated or wetted to remove the skins. Only missing a star because the description was incomplete - better if it made it clear they were ground with skins on. No problem with the product. LATER Edit: I tried these for macarons after all, including the skin, and they were great. No bitterness or texture issues at all! Final star granted.

Love these , they blend into cake recipes very easily , and give a good colour when baked , a bit pricey but worth it .

Great quality but sadly getting quite expensive. Some say that Dubai chocolate has cornered the world supply. Use instead of ground almonds in chocolate cake and adds a real touch of quality.

Perfect for making baklava

If you need a nice green colour (which is what you expect when using pistachios but in actuality, at least for me, is hard to get when you are dicing your own up) when baking, this is just the stuff! I've always found it so difficult to find 'fresh' fresh unshelled/shelled pistachios at a reasonable price and normally, if baking just for me and the family, I make do with the lack of green I always hope for. This is a great way to circumvent that issue if you are baking to impress and I can't wait to experiment a little more. Baking can take some of the vibrancy away, so be careful, but generally you can use it to decorate and add flavour to the top of cakes etc and it works well in sponges without losing that pretty pistachio colour pop. Equally, it comes well packaged, as described and incredibly quickly. As usual, Amazon staff are fantastic and the service is second to none, especially so during these covid-19 times.

Amazing

Very disappointing, they taste mainly like normal roasted dry pistachios. They don’t taste fresh, only dry. The only difference is, they look green and aren’t salted. If you expect the flavour of pistachio ice cream, totally wrong, not even close. Will never buy this brand ever again.
