Good quality InstaMorph plastic
I’ve been using this product for making the claws of my art dolls. I love how sturdy the plastics are when they are hardened and dried. What I hate part about the process is that I had to go down into the kitchen to microwave the water just to try to keep it hot repeatedly which is kind of annoying. Overall it is a great product to work with for sculpting pieces for my art dolls.

When it cools down it's very hard and smooth.
I use this a lot to repair things and make small tools that are useful. I asked Flowbee to make a small tool that helps to take off their adapters for hair length. By the way, I love my Flowbee. Anyway, I used this to make a tool that makes it very easy to remove the adapters. I poor hot water into a pyrex bowl and depending on the difficulty of my project, I add hot water to keep the temperature above 153 F. If I need to reshape something, I use my hot air gun to quickly heat it up. It becomes transparent when heated up and goes back to white when it cools down.I do recommend this product for making non-flexible hard items.

Moldable, but not conveniently
While this product is moldable, it is also a bit finicky to work with. This product does work, it's just that the end result will look lumpy or a bit misshapen without some effort and tools. My experience was in trying to create a solid handle for a slightly unwieldy piece of equipment and to also fix a gap in the flat plastic of a sewing machine. First of all, you need to have a source of hot water that remains hot. Just boiling a pot or kettle of water will not last long enough for any revisions beyond maybe one or two. It also helps to have a large enough pot or pan of water to soak the entire object into speed up the softening process. Also if you don't knead the plastic bulbs thoroughly, reheating the object will cause the individual granules to swell unevenly and make a bumpy appearance. In short, getting flat sheets is tricky. I've read online reviews where people mention using a pasta maker, and that seems like the most convenient way. I ended up using the flat sheet of glass from my microwave and a cylinder shape water glass as a makeshift rolling pin.So if what you need doesn't need to look pretty, but just needs to be functional, this stuff is pretty great for that. You will just need some time learning how to best mold the plastic. But if you want or need your end product to be smooth and non-lumpy (like I did for my two projects) then you will need to keep revising and smoothing and adding more plastic and spend a pretty big chunk of time working with the plastic. Luckily working with it is kind of fun in the way playing with squishy stuff usually is.

Very handy stuff to have around. Fun too!
This is handy stuff to have around for small projects, or crafts. It is easy to melt and work - even with bare hands. I really like the reusable nature of the product. When hot it looks clear, as it cools it hardens and turns white. The end result is strong, flexible, and has a slightly waxy feel. While this stuff is very versatile, it is tricky to make the end product look like it wasn't done by a 3rd grader using modeling clay for the first time. Still, the stuff is easy to work/rework and is very strong and flexible when it hardens. It can also be melted with a good hairdryer, although it might take some patience if you are looking to melt a lot of it. If you only want to pretty up a project and adjust it, the hairdryer technique might be the way to go.Do not expect to use this stuff as an epoxy replacement. (For Example binding some broken thing together. The nature of this product when melted, makes it difficult to achieve a tight fit around something that has broken. The melted product will not adhere readily to non-porous surfaces.Caveat!: While the end product is strong and durable it is NOT suitable for applications where temperatures will exceed about 140 degrees F. as it will melt. I would not recommend it for use in a car such as a phone of GPS holder. One hot day in the direct sun will melt your creation.Caveat: Be careful of allowing the hot/melted product to come into contact with wood or certain porous surfaces. It will adhere very strongly, and be difficult to remove.

Easy to use & makes good looking pieces
I purchased this to make some small accessories to adhere to my daughter's Halloween costume. It's a bit tricky to use at first, so definitely do not wait until the last minute to use this stuff (like I did). I'm sure there are smarter ways to manipulate it, but I only needed small amounts, so I used a steel measuring cup and heated the bottom with my heat gun, like a beaker over a burner, to melt the beads. Once the beads are melted, you have to move fairly quickly, but don't rush it, since it's FREAKING HOT once they are melted (duh, I know, but again, I waited until the last second...). It stays malleable for a bit, but still, don't take too long. The pieces I made turned out great and worked well with her costume. I'll definitely use these again for other projects and highly recommend using these if you're wanting to make small pieces for random needs. Once everything hardens back, it cleans up easily - I just plucked out the newly formed "plastic liner" left behind in the measuring cup and tossed it into the bag with the pellets to be melted down again for future needs. So while I wasn't perfect in my approach, overall this product is perfect for novice users or those wanting to start dabbling in cosplay.
