Quick installation
VANOS line works great. There were some reviews saying that it is built incorrectly, but this line fits just right.

Angle of the dangle: about 35° incorrect
While the length of the hose was fine, the ends were not crimped at the correct angle to allow for installation, and given that under the hood the tolerances and clearances of the places where this bolts onto, it made it so that I wasn't able to install. In both photos I was holding the two ends together to show that the other end isn't angled correctly. I would venture that it is possible that this was a one-off occurrence that might have slipped past QA but i wouldn't know for sure without ordering another, and at that point i could just as easily choose another brand/vendor

Ends not clocked perfectly
The ends were not clocked perfectly, which made it more difficult to install, but it's in and it works. Hopefully a few heat cycles will relax the hose.

Orientation is slightly off
Much like the other reviews, putting this thing in my 2001 325i required bending it a bit to get the right orientation and just so I was able to get more room to do so I had to remove the oil filter cap. It definitely doesn’t go in easy so that’s why I made it 4 stars.
