no instruction
As a DYI guy I can usually figure out how to use things but these never felt secure on the sink. They fell out months later.

Sink mounting hardware
This hardware is very poor quality and does not work. The hardware will fall off as you tighten it. The part that is suppose to hook to the sink ring is flat. It has no hook to it at all. I'm experience carpenter and plumber and I suggest getting hardware from somewhere else. $28 and a week waiting on parts down the drain. Back to square 1. The only reason I ordered here was lack of local parts.

DONT BUY THIS UNLESS…
This product is absolutely horrible to use UNLESS you use painters tape on it. I cussed this product at the top of my lungs and I would have given it one star! If you put painters tape on it to hold it into place though it’s perfectly functional. My review should seriously be featured by the manufacturer! All the reviews says that it takes to people for this product to work. Not with painters tape! They should seriously include tape with this product!!! YOUR WELCOME IF YOURE READING THIS!

Works for thick countertops and J-channel sinks
If you have a thick countertop and a J-channel style drop-in sink, these things are just about your only option. And *no one* carries them in stock - at least, I had no luck finding these anywhere local. So I was very glad that they were available with rapid shipping from Amazon - otherwise, I'd have been without a kitchen sink for weeks. That said, they're just okay. They're finicky to use - you essentially have to set the slide-on clip at just the correct depth for your countertop and hinge the whole clip into place. Otherwise, the slide-on part will fall down - it is only stable when adequate downward pressure is exerted, either by your fingers or by the underside of the countertop. This is difficult to do when you're wedged in under your sink and working in the small gap between sink wall and cabinet side. The screw secures the clip to the sink and somewhat pulls the sink tight to the countertop, but it does nothing to fix the location of the slide-on part, and won't help adjust the distance between top hook and slide-on clip if that's not already perfect. Also, make sure to block off any small gaps into which one of the parts might fall, because you're guaranteed to drop some part of a clip at least once.A better adjustable clip would have the whole thing tighten with a screw so that they could be installed loosely and then cranked down to fit, but I looked, and that better clip does not seem to exist. So buy these, but be prepared for a bit of a frustrating installation.

worked on our thick countertop
A little tricky to figure out but once i finally had the first one installed the rest of them were a breeze to install. I tried three different brands to finish this project and these were the best for my 1 1/4" thick countertop. A+

What you need for thick counters and J channel sinks.
What you need for thick countertops and j channel sinks. New granite countertop was thicker than the last one. Couldn't find anything that would work other than these clips. They work great. Tips: put weitght on the sink rim to hold in place when installing. A friend can hold the sink down or put a heavy bag (dog food) on the end of the sink. Start the screws in the j brackets before crawling under the sink. Slide on the bracket and hold that in place under the sink. Don't worry if the j channel is not engaged it will hold in place when you tighten the screw.
