Hey There!

And with Sammy Davis Jnr Hey There!, a collection of beloved classics ranging from “The Impossible Dream” and “My Way” to “I’ve Gotta Be Me” to “On a Clear Day You Can See Forever,” it’s impossible to turn down Mr. Davis’ invitation because he is the Master of Song, the Master of Entertainment (his interaction with a live audience is priceless), and that Master shines like pure gold here, backed up sensational instrumentals that include a memorable turn by another Musical Master, Buddy Rich. What's not to like about this one! Sammy live singing so many of his classic songs. Including some I have never heard live before like MacArthur Pack. In The Ghetto. This recording must be later in his life to have these songs on it. There is no real description of when it is from. But who cares it is Sammy in great form doing what he does best! This set is a great price for 2 cds and the sound quality and the packaging is very good. My only complaint is why did they spell JR. JNR on the cover. I have never seen his name spelled like that anywhere. But honestly this is a great set of music that belongs in any Sammy Davis Jr. (Or should I say JNR?) collection. I absolutely love it.

There are some live tracks, but this late 60s -early 70s compilation is not a "live album." sound is great!

Sammy Davis, JR. was a great entertainer including dancing, celebrity impressions and mostly, a great singer! He absolutely was MR. WONDERFUL... The "Hey There!" album includes all his great songs. Listening to them brings back fond memories.

What's not to love about Sammy Davis, Jr.! He always put his all, and more, into every song, every performance, every acting role, just everything. The hardest worker of the 'Rat Pack', and actually the best and strongest singer of the group. A great recording compilation.

Disappointed. SAmmy Davis has a wonderful voice. There are only a few songs on the CD that I really enjoyed. He put some jazzy things in there that really didn’t belong in my opinion.

If one is interested in an anthology of Mr. Davis, this is your one-stop-shop purchase.

Sammy has been gone for many years, but to hear his voice on this CD, makes you feel he is still here with us.
