This yarn is wonderful to knit.
I don’t usually write reviews but this yarn calls for one. I am knitting a prayer shawl and the yarn is perfect. The weight is just right, the color is beautiful (soft aqua) and it is so very soft. I highly recommend it.

Quality soft yarn, easy to work with
Lion Brand Hometown Tarn is my favorite for making loom knit hats. I use the adult (orange) loom and can make one hat with yarn left over. These hats are great for giving to the unhoused people. There are many different colors. The people appreciate the choices. I usually order the solid colors as more yarn than the tweeds or specialty colors. As a give away, I want quality, softness and price. This meets all my needs!

Easy working yarn.
My favorite yarn. I make heritage blankets for family and friends. People have said they love the pillow covers too. Soft, lovely feel and in throws or blanket are heavy and warm. Does pull easily.

Soft and Squishy Super-Bulky Yarn
The Hometown Yarn is a very soft blend of acrylic and rayon fibers, and creates squishy and warm scarves, slippers, throws, and hats. I used Aspen Tweed for several tunisian and regular crochet projects. There is a subtle sheen to the finished projects. The yarn is a super bulky (6) yarn, and works up quickly. This yarn is machine washable. I lay the items flat to dry (as I do with all my knit and crochet items just to be safe, even though the label indicated it's machine dryable. Therefore, I cannot speak to how it turns out using a dryer. The two issues I have with this yarn caused me to deduct 1 star. First, it's VERY prone to splitting, I recommend using a more blunt tip crochet hook. Second, there's only 59m (64 yds) on a skein of the Aspen Tweed. Overall, this yarn works into a beautiful project, just be prepared with the right hook, and sufficient yarn!

Gorgeous and affordable
It knits up so smoothly and quickly. When I made this hat I had let enough time go that I had five inches on my knitting loom than I had realized - away I’d gone with wrap 2, figure eight two. That photo with the cream is Aspen Tweed and Chicago Charcoal. The red one is when I wasn’t quite finished. That one is Tampa Spice. Some of the varieties split but it’s not a huge problem. No factor knots. There are so many different colors you get to choose from. It shimmers sometimes if it’s juuust right - not a glittery shimmer but a hi, I am a gorgeous affordable hat shimmer.

Quick projects while beautiful
I really like the feel of the yarn while crocheting. It’s soft & works up fast with the bulk but still looks luxurious.

4 star yarn, 3 star color
The belefonte concrete yarn is not grey. In fact it is brown and does not look like the pictures at all as it is brown. I am aware that different screens can make colors look a little off. With that being said, I have ordered and received 3 other colors that are true to the provided pictures, so something is off here. As for the quality of the yarn, I would give it 4 stars. It easily unravels when working with it and starts to get fuzzy if you need to pull it out for any reason (for me, it was the unraveling). I would use this again, but only on patterns I have done before and and where color wont matter. I do have another use for these, however a little over $20 for 3 small skeins of an unneeded color that unravels is just disappointing. I did give this particular color 3 stars because it is pretty but if I had to return it, I would have given a tougher review. Other stores have this color shown properly so it would have been evident that it was brown if Amazon had the right pictures. Shame.

Exactly what I was looking for

Its fine to use in repairing a carpet, but I have sweaters made from similar yarn from Malta that are a bit too silky and piled over the years. I don't know how to knit but if I did? I would not use this yarn for a sweater, at least not for an adult.

Have wanted to try this yarn for a while, it is absolutely beautiful. Wonderful colour and so soft. Have ordered a few more colours through Amazon, but it is more expensive than I usually pay, but I guess you get what you pay for. Have found it cheaper through a UK based hobby shop, so you can get it cheaper in the UK if you look around.

Package received as it was estimated. The right item description and quality. Very happy with the order, I am already working on my new sweater.

This is my favourite brand of yarn for making kids hats. It crochets up beautifully. It’s super soft and feels good on your fingers while you work - not scratchy or rough. Heartland is the only brand I use. Lots of fantastic colours too.
