Sketching from the Imagination: Anime & Manga

Great book with excellent illustration, pointers, and information to inspire and create.

Unlike most "anime/manga" art books I've seen (mainly alot of the "How to Draw Manga Books"), this book features many different styles outside of the industry standard. It's a great book for more professional artists and hobbyists who need motivation or inspiration. It's NOT a How to Draw Book by any means, but it could reveal some new techniques that make you wanna draw again. It certainly has done that for me.

Great book I love it. So good for inspiration but it looks like the delivery guy just tossed it I’m compelled to return it and have them send me another apart from that it’s an excellent book for illustrators!

This book has filled me with inspiration. Every time I open is I find something new and unique from another artist. It is full of sketches and fully colored pieces along with notes of the artist. This book is everything I wanted and more, definitely a great purchase.

Es workbook y no un artbook, esto es debido al tipo de trabajos que se muestran, ya que es un libro de diversos artistas que hablan sobre como mejoraron, que les gusta, como lograron sus objetivls y todo lo que conlleva desarrollar un estilo propio, en si ayuda mucho debido a los consejos que dan los artistas, y debido al arte que termina complementando su descripcion.Tengan esto encuenta son 11 libros de este tipo, cada uno con diferentes tematicas, todos comparten el mismo nombre, lo que cambia es la tematica(ejemplo sketching fron the imagination .....) desde anime, monstruos, seres oscuros, etc.

Antes da 3d Publishing era frustrante comprar um livro de referência na área de artes visuais. Existiam honrosas exceções, como a coleção do jeito DC de fazer histórias em quadrinhos, obras do Will Eisner e outros artistas abnegados e generosos que queriam compartilhar o seu conhecimento. Apenas com a 3d Publishing isso se tornou um padrão, com publicações sérias, para um público importante de produção de conteúdo artístico. Comprar um livro de qualquer uma das séries deles é certeza de satisfação e garantia de qualidade. Tenho essa coleção desde o primeiro volume e recomendo a todos.

This series of books - Sketching From Imagination - are absolutely stunning books, beautiful encapsulating a wide range of artists in a variety of different styles and media.. Each book is worthy of being a valuable resource for any art teacher, as I am, and, inspirational and influential as an art lover. They have been a very good resource for widening my students' eyes with awe, and demonstrating a huge potential in types artwork - from sketches to intricately rendered final images.

The book is nice, on par with the others of the same collection, but there are very few Asian/Japanese artists which is weird considering that it's a book on manga and anime art (and there are literally hundreds of amazing artists that could have been featured...). A little disappointing in the end but I'll keep it since the general quality of the artists is fairly good.
