Experiencing God Through Prayer

I appreciated how she shared her journey through prayer. A very helpful and instructive prayer guide. I would recommend this book to anyone. I like the way she presented her text

This book is rich and potent from a spiritual giant. If I had to choose only a few books in which to teach the essential elements of Christianity this would be one of the recommended teachings on the list.

The writer is brief, but very emotional about prayer. She entices us to communication and a communion with God. Its not just a simple formula, but invites a relationship that keeps getting better!

This book has encouraged me to continue pursuing God through prayer. I desire to learn and grow in the gifts and callings that my Father has placed in my heart. This book, among others such as "The Azusa Street REVIVAL"by Roberts Liardon, "True Discipleship" by William MacDonald, "The walk of the Spirit the walk of Power" by Dave Roberson, are just of few that I am studying to grow deeper in my relationship and love for the Lord and for HIS children. I desire to grow to serve Him and HIS children in faithfulness, total commitment and effectiveness. I love what God is doing today and I don't want to waste my time NOR HIS time in prayer. I recommend this book to those who are serious about their walk with the Lord. I rated it with 4 stars because I feel that there is always room for growth especially as we seek the Creator of the universe who draws us into HIS Presence and that there is NO LIMITS while living in HIS presence daily.

Guyon was a mystic and as such trusted much on experience but she teaches good practical and spiritual lessons on prayer in this particular book.

Profound! We American Christians complicate prayer and make it our job. Madam Guyon simplifies and takes the burden from us. Our job is simply to prepare our hearts to meet with the King and wait for His voice and direction.

Love the book!

Let me just say I love Madame Guyon's writings but this book was so elementary that I was turned off. You can literally read this book in one sitting. I have read Madame Guyon's spiritual torrents and Short Method of Prayer. They are a lot better than this. Mainly because I think this book was revised and isn't in her own speech and use of language. It is modernized. I didn't like that. Her own language carries with it her spirit and with her spirit her spiritual life and with her spiritual life her relationship with God. In her other books you can feel the closeness to God. Although whether modernized or not most of what I read in this book can be read online in either or of Spiritual Torrents and Short Method of Prayer. But I bought the book for like less than 5 dollars so how can I complain.

This is a good book worth reading. This lady was an amazing lady who displayed the love of Christ throughout her very hard life

Don't buy. Waste of money and time. Very simple. No new things written by author. Very small book with 105 pages. Don't know why selling with huge price. Not recommending for spiritual growth.
